AB's - Absolute Barbecues | Kompally, Hyderabad — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Welcome to Absolute barbecue horror show. On 20th April , went to absolute barbecue at Kompally hyderabad for lunch with family. We booked table at 3 pm slot and we were five minutes earlier to the place. Here starts the great service by Absolute nonsense. No one at the reception. We saw a guy running around n bossing over. We called him and told that we have a booking at 3. Tables are available but he says all are occupied. After 30 minutes he says starters are finished . Now they are marinating the starters so it would take time. We said okay, then he showed a table. We sat there and asked him to switch on the AC. One of the waiter literally throw a bowl of food into a bucket and it landed on floor. Whole food was on the floor. We requested him to clean. Kids were running around the floor and stamped all that food and made more disgusting. They didn't on the AC and made us sit there with summer heat and burning barbeque. They didn't clean the floor either. They served only 4 starters . When we asked for other starters they gave us two more starters and again started repeating the first 4 starters. We went to buffet section . We find Few spoons of chicken biryani without chicken. Mutton curry without mutton Fish curry had few pieces There is a label say chilli garlic chicken but the dish wasn't there. When asked they say label was kept there by mistake. So no food in the buffet section. We went to special counter. We were greeted with only labels with all empty vessels. The chef says they have only 2 pieces of chicken. No food in this section. We asked for pasta . They gave us uncooked pasta. Worst part is even the green peas weren't cooked. Desserts section is completely empty. They had ice cream that too few scoops. One more shocker is the don't serve mineral water bottle. They give water in steel cans. The way the staff maintaining the place you can imagine how clean the bottle would be. We asked for Pepsi pitcher. They gave pepsi in 4 small glasses. We were totally confused when pitcher means glasses? Pathetic service, unclean surroundings, to top it all no food also. So guys, goto ABS Kompally only when you want to experience horror show. I have decided never to step in there again. There are plenty of barbecue options with much better service in Kompally and...

As someone who holds AB’s Barbeque close to heart, it pains me to write this — not as a rant, but as a wake-up call. The brand, once a symbol of hospitality and indulgence, has sadly taken a nosedive at the Kompally Branch.

Let me paint the picture.

We were a large family group, arriving with excitement and empty stomachs — only to be greeted with chaos in the parking area. There was no valet, no assistance, no coordination. We circled for over 20 minutes, trying to park, with no one from the staff even acknowledging the struggle.

Already unsettled, we entered the restaurant only to face the next wave of disappointment — the food.

The starters arrived cold, chewy, and tasteless, as if they had been sitting on the counter for too long. What should have been sizzling, smoky joy was instead a plate of bland regret. The main course wasn’t any better — barely warm, and shockingly underwhelming.

The service? A complete disaster.

Waiters walked past us like we were invisible. Water had to be requested multiple times, plates weren’t cleared unless we begged, and the staff made no effort to ask for feedback or check on us. It felt like we were just another table they wanted to get over with — not guests, but burdens.

Even the ambience was off. Music too loud. Lights too dim. No sense of warmth or welcome — just an environment that felt tired and uninterested in serving.

And the final blow? The absolute lack of courtesy.

When we raised our concerns, we were met with blank stares and cold nods, as if we were annoying them by simply expecting what we paid for. Not a single genuine apology. Not even an attempt to salvage the experience.

To top it all off — the restaurant wasn’t even full. There was no rush, no shortage of staff, and no excuse for such atrocious service. It was a quiet evening ruined by louder negligence.

AB’s has always stood for excellence — but if the Kompally Branch continues down this path, it will only stand for lost loyalty and missed opportunities.

I truly hope this review is taken seriously, because brands are only as strong as their weakest links — and right now, Kompally is dragging the legacy down.

It doesn't even deserve 1 star. Service here is so bad and these guys are so money minded. They only want to run their business. First they make their customers wait for the next round after serving vegetarian starter. They make you waste a lot of time in hope that customers lose their appetite. They literally served us 2-3 rounds of starters in about 40 mins or so, and that too only when we were calling them multiple times. Requesting them to serve food. Well, they surely are relying on the fact that the customers would eventually lose out on their patience, either walk out or walk to the self service and get out. Manager here is unresponsive and he would just pretend as if he is actually listening or understanding what you got to say. He is just marching around here and there as if he's got to attend a treaty deal or something, but actually he's just doing the formality, formality of overseeing the table and instructing the waiters to serve as less as possible and the best would be to serve just once. He even tries to do a forced polite behaviour and gets starter to your table after you call him over and over again. If you are accidentally still here, the main excuse you would get from here would be, it's crowded here and bla bla but when isn't it crowded and poor guys who hope to have a good time thinking and deciding that ABs would be great, cause they had had a real wholesome experience before, but when they get here, they are going to realise It is some cheap restaurant run by money fetching mindsets and with a we-don't-give-a-damn-you-pay-and-leave-doesnt-matter-if-you-have-a-bad-time attitude. Guys reading this, hope you atleast make one point of this all. Believe me, the money you think of putting in here, it's better if you go somewhere else. And even better, if you go enjoy in a restaurant, you would have a happier appetite than in here. -3000/10...
