Arambam - Flavours of South, Kondapur — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Had food delivered from zomato. Lemon rice had gone bad when we opened box. It smelled bad and taste was also of the stale and gone bad food. Puliogre rice taste was also bad and didnt taste like puliogre rice. Only better item was Pongal. Remaining 2 items money was just a waste. Called restaurant couple of times Immediately but they didn't answer. Raised issue with Zomato also but they refunded only Rs. 97. Pathetic experience, never going to order again. Surprised to see so many ratings on Google for this location with positive ratings as it has opened just couple of months back. Check verified latest customer reviews on zomato and you will know. A lot of 1 and 2 star reviews mostly about bad taste, quantity and quality of food in last 1-2 months

Update after visiting restaurant with lemon rice - The manager (he mentioned name as Pavan Kalyan) was not even ready to accept its bad food. I had to get 1 customer in restaurant smell the lemon rice and confirm the rice was gone bad. Till this point he was arguing and showing attitude and telling me to talk to zomato. After the other customer confirmed it's bad, then he told me a shocking thing. He mentioned the zomato food orders are delivered only from their cloud kitchen in Lingampally and not from their Kondapur restaurant. I am sure it's a lie, the map on zomato was showing order being picked up from same Kondapur location where this restaurant is. He offered me Rs. 500 and requested to remove or update the review. I tried this restaurant out of curiosity because i frequently order from Millet Express and always look for healthy alternatives. I had a very bad experience and i will never suggest this restaurant to anyone.

Food - Food is below average like you are eating from roadside stall. If you are opening a restaurant in completion with Millet Express then at least match their quality to some extend. I ordered multigrain masala dosa and it was very bad.

Service - This is the worst part of this branch. I have to ask one person to adjust the seat so i can reach a 2-seat table. I don’t know who suggested them to have the current seating arrangement. One person says that tea is not available and after 10 mins, again different person ask if you want tea. They really need a manager in this branch.

Cost - I don’t understand how can they keep their prices so high when their food quality is not very good. They have very high prices for average quality.

Advice - Here are a few things you can do so people will not leave your restaurant frustrated and annoyed.

Please first have a good seating arrangement. This is the one of the most important things in a new restaurant. Hire some good chefs so they can train your people on how to prepare good food. Please have some ticketing or QR option so the customer doesn’t have to check with the waiter several times.

I have eaten 4 times in 3 of their outlets (Kondapur, financial district, Manikonda) in the last 10 days. Have taken a whole group for breakfast, enjoyed their executive lunch thali for lunch and breakfast combo for dinner. Food is really good. What I like is that healthy food doesn’t necessarily need to pinch your pocket. The prices are comparable to udupis of the world but with healthier and more hygienic food. Ambience is simple but nice. Loved their idlis with ghee Karam and their ragi dosas and millet kheer. Am sure this place will shine through and will carve out a good niche for itself.
