I've always glhad good memories from here but today was the single worst service I've had at any pub or bar.
My female friend and I got a table next to the Jockey from where we ordered our drinks at around 8:30PM. Place was a little crowded than usual but a visit to the restroom and the waiter that served us had 'borrowed' my stool, according to my friend. A few minutes later, my stool magically appears but this time disguised as a table for newcomers. Time pass us by and then my friends stool was borrowed too with a promise that they'd bring us chairs instead. Alas, another couple near us gets the stool as a table and none for us. Questioning the waiter seemed futile as his bizzare reply was "Your table is a standing table and on weekends we use stools as tables so I'm sorry." We've been here multiple times, even last week and this standing table/stools are tables rule seemed to have flown over our heads. Interestingly, the stool table customers were given chairs by the same waiter. So here we were, the first to arrive in that little corner, our seats stolen and now with everyone around us seated but we're still standing. Nice. Next came the argument regarding the bill. Again, new rule since last week... No bills for "Standing tables". We're billing all these people around you on the same table so we can't print the bill." What kind of lame excuse is that? Not satisfied, we asked for his manager. "The manager can't come here so you please come to him". He then took us to the POS machine and showed us the billing on the computer. Is that how a hospitality employee should react to a 'Manager request?' Forget that, that thing about splitting the table bill between different customers... Is that even a legally correct thing to say? I payed for your service so am I not entitled to a bill of payment? After that, this waiter chose to completely ignore us. We had to walk to the bar counter twice to get more drinks because the waiter wouldn't come near us to take an order! We overheard him telling the Stool choors that we're leaving soon when they kept ordering more than their stool could hold. I hope the waiter, forgot to get his name, was having a bad day but the way he catered to others around us makes me thimk twice about that too.
I really like the place, love the food, the ambience, the music and the drinks but this was a hard experience to swallow. I'd want to visit with friends again but an experience like this is more than enough to mess up your day.
Mine is most likely a one-off thing and you shouldn't look too deep into it. The place is lit. Enjoy...
Read moreIt wasnt a usual lazy sunday , as it was a sundowner at By The Bottle, By The Bottle is located at a very post locality of Hyderabad , Jubilee hills rdno 36 . we headed to this place , this place is situated at the rooftop of a commercial complex which houses other restaurants aswell , once you enter the venue , you can easily figure out that the place isnt that huge but it is of a decent size , the floor is divided into two portions the outer portion which has and outdoor open roof seating and a indoor common seating attached with the dancefloor. we opted for an outdoor seating as the weather waa favourable .By the Bottle has introduced a special sundowner drunch which costs you around 1500/- per head , which i think is a fairer deal for the lavish spread they cater along with unlimited drinks .As we got seated we were served with some refreshing mocktails .as everyone were sipping their respective mocktails ,their starters started to flow in . they started first serving us some amazing Spinach & Corn Croquettes ,chukhandar murgh kebabs , paneer bageecha, fish Amritsari , Shrimp tempura ,taipei chicken, fire and spice babycorn. every starter was so delicious but chukhandar murgh kebab and taipei chicken were most favourite . Coming to the main course , as everyone were almost full we opted for a Hariyali murgh and a kadai mutton masala along with the piping hot butter naans and tandoori rotis ,Singaporean noodles followed by a huge portion of Chicken khabsa ., from the gravies to the chicken khabsa made me drool .and we ended up our meal on a sweeter note trying their Hot brownie and gajar ka halwa. as it was past 6:30 , the place turned out to be a amazing party place as the whole scene changes once the lights are switched on , prefect music in the background , what more you need on a lazy sunday . Loved the place loved the food , loved the experience , will surely recommend and will surely come and visit the place again .Much Love Intensefoodcravings 😊
