Had been to Chutneys around 2.30pm for lunch on 5th Oct 2024 with family.
The restaurant had a few people here & there. Not a busy afternoon by any standards on a working day.
Order was taken after a brief waiting period. South Indian thali was brought by Naresh after a waiting period again. Thali had all accompaniments except poori / rice. After making a little noise, pooris were given. Long wait & a little more noise rice was served after which we didn’t see the waiter at all.
No water, no ghee, no side dishes / rice served after what was given initially.
Called out for manager who was indifferent to our concerns, chided the waiter only to vanish into thin air yet again. No sorry from the manager / waiter or food was reserved.
Reached out to Naresh only to hear from him that he was busy & gave us the impression that he was giving us free food.
Naresh had the nerve to tell us that Suresh was the manager who spoke to us while the manager introduced himself to be Rajesh. The place is managed by indifferent crooks who are not interested in serving food. Manager Rajesh & waiter Naresh need to be thrown out to set an example to all the indifferent staff.
With NOT many guests in the restaurant could see most of the waiters bored of their routine indulging in useless gossip.
Wound up our lunch with half filled bellies, disheartening experience, a bill that had water bottles included which were not given at all.
Could see from where we sat that a few others had similar experience.
Over all a POOR experience which I wanted to share. This place needs to be avoided by everyone, to avoid such terrible experience.
Wish I had the option of giving...
