Flavours of Taj Mahal Hotel — Restaurant in Hyderabad

I recently ordered Fried Rice and Chilli Paneer from Taj Mahal Restaurant and made a very simple request: no oil (or very little), no ghee, and no butter. This was important to me as I have different food priorities.

Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it was the complete opposite — loaded with oil, even more than usual. When I called to ask about it, they casually told me, “We were busy, so we forgot.”

In my opinion, if the kitchen is too busy to handle special requests, they should honestly say so and suggest coming back on another day. Instead, they just pushed the food out without caring about my request.

I found this very careless and reckless service. It feels like they just want to get the food out quickly, without considering customer preferences.

This was a disappointing experience, and I hope the restaurant takes feedback seriously...

It was a pleasure to revisit the Taj Mahal restaurant for dinner after a three-month gap. I have made it a point to dine here every time I am in India, as this place holds a special nostalgic value for me. It reminds me of my childhood, when my father would take me here for meals. The historic pan shop within the premises, which has been around for decades, adds to the charm.

However, over the past couple of years, I have noticed a slight decline in the quality of most of the dishes. While the ambiance and service remain more or less same, the taste hasn't been quite the same. I hope the management takes my constructive feedback seriously and works towards restoring the classic flavors that have been a hallmark of this beloved institution. I am confident that with a bit of attention, Taj Mahal restaurant can once again become the culinary gem...

I went for breakfast. First buffet time is not 7 until 8 am it will jot be ready. Second we took normal ordering which was very slow. Spoons were not washed properly we could see food stains.
