Kobe Sizzlers , established in 70's in Mumbai, was one of its kind and has attracted many folks then, from then till now, this place hasn't stopped sizzling people with its scintillating sizzlers. In this 40+ Years of Journey, it has set its foot print in about 6 countries. Booming market of Hyderabad has attracted Kobe Sizzlers Hyderabad and here it is, in one of the premium locations (Film Nagar) started couple of weeks back and is already running houseful.
We quickly ordered Chicken Shashlik sizzler, mixed sizzler and paneer steak. Mixed sizzler, served on a hot cast iron dish (which makes it to sizzle) with a layer of vegetables - broccoli, cabbage, carrots, green beans, tomatoes and another layer of lamb, chicken chunks and prawns topped with their pepper sauce and sunny side up with wedges around the sizzler. Their sauces were bang on and delicious. The doneness of chicken breast in chicken shashlik could have been between rare and medium rare , as it could have been softer/easier to chew - it was chewy to me.
Paneer steak surely will be one of the best picks in veg, cottage cheese was soft and went very well with garlic mushroom sauce. I have had tum kha soup in about 5 places and this stands in top 2 for their richness in delicious coconut milk , soft chicken chunks, chilli flakes - absolutely yummy.
As with every new restaurant, they have few teething issues with service and top of it, dinners make it houseful almost everyday is making it difficult for them. Despite all these, owners of the place are ensuring to go around the tables and are engaging with customers to ensure they are satisfied. I'm sure they will soon come over their service issues very soon and I already can't wait to go back for rest of the sizzlers on their menu and for their sizzling brownie too which was out of the stock on the day we visited.

Yet, they've made a mark for themselves with attractive interiors, good service and some yummy food. For me and I'm sure for many, Kobe Sizzlers is a pioneer in this category in India. Established in 1975 in Mumbai to having multiple outlets in multiple cities, they have made a special place if you intend to try Sizzlers. And having tried multiple Sizzler restaurants, I can confidently vouch for the fact that they're the best. I was here last week for dinner and I was not disappointed.
Prawns Wanton Soup: Each spoonful had lots of prawns and nice subtle flavors. A definite recommendation if you are in doubt.
Not a great fan of vegetarian starters but their chilli cheese toast is a must try. Literally melt in the mouth. Their dragon Prawns (little sweet) and black pepper chicken were the other 2 standout starters for me. The flavors were just right and not too sweet or too spicy. Just the way I like it.
We were 5 of us and we shared 3 Sizzlers in main course. We ordered a Mixed grill sizzler (lamb, sea food and chicken), a fish shashlik sizzler and a Kobe signature chicken sizzler. Fish was a little under-spiced to my liking but you could change that with the sauces they provide (Garlic & pepper). The lamb in the mixed grilled sizzler was exceptionally good and well cooked. The best of the lot was the Kobe signature sizzler. All their sizzlers come with veggies, rice and fries. Be extremely careful coz the food is very hot.
For desserts, we tried their fried ice creams and sizzling brownie. Their brownie is very soft and was the better of the two desserts we ordered.
One area of improvement would be their mocktails. While the one I ordered, Virgin Pinacolada, was good, the other mocktails needed some improvement and presentation. Overall a great...
Read moreAs a regular customer of Kobe Sizzlers, I have enjoyed their delicious food, especially the sizzlers. However, I have noticed some changes in recent times that I would like to address.
Firstly, the taste of the food is consistently good. The sizzlers, in particular, are outstanding with their flavorful sauces and perfectly grilled meats or vegetables. This aspect of the restaurant has remained consistent and has been a highlight of my dining experience.
Unfortunately, I have noticed a decrease in portion sizes compared to six months ago. While the taste remains excellent, it is disappointing to see the quantity of the food reduce over time. I hope that Sizzler addresses this issue and maintains the generous portion sizes that they were known for in the past.
In addition to this, I believe there is room for improvement in the service provided by the restaurant. One area of concern is the time it takes to receive a regular starter. Even when the restaurant has fewer customers, there have been instances where it took around 20 minutes to receive a starter. This delay can be frustrating for customers, and I believe the restaurant should focus on improving the speed of service for all dishes, not just for sizzlers.
On a positive note, the dessert Sizzling Brownie, in particular, is a must-try. Its rich, decadent flavor is a perfect end to any meal and definitely a highlight of the menu.
Overall, Kobe Sizzlers remains a great place to enjoy tasty food, especially sizzlers. However, I hope they can address the reduction in portion size and work on improving their service, particularly in the timely delivery...
