Visited Punjabi Affair at Nanakramguda in the Financial District recently and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The ambiance is warm and vibrant with a rustic Punjabi touch—perfect for both lunch meetings and family dinners.
Food: The food is the star of the show. We ordered their Dal Makhani, Paneer Butter Masala, and Butter Naan – everything tasted rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The dal, especially, was slow-cooked and had that authentic smoky taste you usually find in North Indian dhabas. Also tried their Amritsari Kulcha and it was crispy, well-stuffed, and served with chole and chutney—definitely a must-try!
Non-veg lovers, take note – their Chicken Patiala and Tandoori starters are excellent. The chicken was juicy, well-marinated, and perfectly cooked.
Service: The staff is polite and quick to respond. They helped us choose from the menu and even customized the spice level based on our preference. Service was slightly slow during peak hours but still manageable.
Ambiance & Cleanliness: The restaurant has a clean and cozy vibe with a Punjabi-themed decor – think traditional paintings, dhols, and vibrant lighting. Seating is comfortable, and hygiene is maintained quite well.
Price: Slightly on the higher side compared to regular North Indian places, but the portion sizes and taste justify it. Ideal for groups or families rather than solo dining.
Overall: If you’re in the Financial District and craving North Indian or Punjabi food, Punjabi Affair is a reliable option. Tasty food, good service, and a lively atmosphere make it worth a visit.
Would recommend for: Family outings, office team lunches, or even a hearty Punjabi meal...
Read moreIt is a hidden gem for lovers of authentic Punjabi cuisine. The moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and the aroma of rich spices that instantly whets your appetite. Their non-vegetarian section is the highlight – vast, diverse, and absolutely delicious. From juicy tandoori starters to thick, flavorful curries, every dish is cooked with care and packed with bold, traditional flavors. Whether it’s the butter chicken or the mutton curry, the meat is always tender and well-marinated. Surprisingly, the vegetarian section holds its own too. Often, veg options feel like an afterthought at meat-heavy restaurants, but here, dishes like paneer tikka and dal makhani are equally rich, satisfying, and full of depth. But the true star of the menu is their lassi – thick, creamy, and the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing. Unfortunately, it’s so popular that it often runs out by the weekend rush, so try visiting on weekdays if you don’t want to miss it. The service is polite and attentive. What’s even better is that the staff willingly customize spice levels or dish preferences based on your request. If you're craving hearty, home-style Punjabi food, Punjabi Affair is definitely...
Read moreLocated on MyHome Krishe road in FD, this is part of chain of restaurants which are located across Cyberabad area. So surprises on food quality, ambience and service. Ambience is based on punjabi theme with multiple quotes (stereotyping Punjabis :-)) and that’s a common trend across most of the punjabi restaurant. Ambience is not lavish and has a limited number of seating capacity but was decent. We would easily find place to sit on a weekday lunch.
Food is also pretty good and the portions are also justifiably good. We ordered a mix of veg and non veg items and the taste was as expected. Patiyala chicken is their signature dish and have tried it at their other outlets but unfortunately the taste of it here was bland.
Service are prompt and the staff was patient enough to listen to us ans also suggest food options.
Parking space available outside the restaurant.
