Well, how can I even begin to describe this atrocious place? I visited one evening, and the entire experience was beyond terrible. Calling it disappointing would be an understatement — this restaurant is an embarrassment to the word “hospitality.”
The moment I walked in, I was hit by a revolting stench. The whole place smells like a beach that hasn’t been cleaned in years. Yes, it’s a seafood restaurant, but that doesn’t mean it has to smell like rotting fish and saltwater. It’s unhygienic, nauseating, and completely unacceptable.
The food was even worse. We ordered a fish tikka, and what arrived was a complete insult to the dish. The coating literally had sand in it — not spice, not texture, sand. How does that even happen in a so-called restaurant? The prawns were so oversalted they were practically inedible, and the soup was just hot water with a few sad pieces of chicken floating in it. It was clear no one in that kitchen cared what they were serving.
Moving on to the main course, the chicken pulao was the only thing that could be called “average,” though it too was overloaded with salt and spice. Since it was the least terrible item, we decided to order it again and specifically requested that they reduce the seasoning. What we got back was a cruel joke — even more salt, even more spice. It’s as if they deliberately ruined it just to prove a point.
This place has no sense of quality, no respect for customers, and no right to be in business. The hygiene is dreadful, the food is careless, and the service is clueless. The positive reviews you see online are obviously paid and fake, likely boosted using celebrity promotions to mislead people.
Honestly, this restaurant should be shut down immediately. It doesn’t deserve customers, ratings, or even the name of a dining establishment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — not...
Read moreThis place reminded me so much of my grandmother cooking and the smell of our home food. It really felt like I was back in the Godavari districts. The thali here is hands down the best in the city – full of different meats, all made the traditional way. The mini crabs were my favorite – juicy, crunchy, and full of flavor without losing that authentic taste. Also, the anchovy fries with curry leaves were top-notch. They didn’t miss the real touch of Godavari cooking at all. Big thanks to the chefs! In a city where many restaurants just copy-paste menus and tastes, this one truly stands out. It’s clear they put real effort into everything. I also want to mention something nice – when I asked the steward Ms. Anjana, she told me they only use cold-pressed oils, which is super rare in restaurants. That’s a big plus.the service of the staff is really homely and humble service Only one small feedback – the cutlery doesn’t really match the kind of food they serve. If they improve that, it’ll complete the experience.
Overall, if you love real Godavari food, this is a must-visit. I strongly...
Read morehad a wonderful experience at Theeram Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and every dish we tried was outstanding. The Chitti Royalu and Ghee Roast Chicken were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, pairing beautifully with the aromatic pulao.
The desserts, though, deserve a special mention. The coconut and with ice apple ( my July)was simply out of this world – truly a signature dish that everyone must try. The junnu was also superb, rich, and authentic in taste.
Along with the amazing food, the ambience was delightful, offering a pleasant view that made the dining experience even more memorable. The service was warm, attentive, and added to the overall charm of the place.
In short – Theeram rocks! I highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant, enjoy the fantastic ambience, and treat yourself to the incredible...
