Utter disappointment. Bland tastes. A sheer money wastage. I’m surprised it’s a 5 star place. What a joke!!!🤦♂️ We paid 2000rs per person for Buffet. Visited on Wednesday for Buffet Dinner.
Tip: You can avail a Flat 30% discount on the total Bill id you pay through Swiggy App. I think you should have Swiggy One Subscription.
Entered into buffet area and asked the blazer suit person, for window view seating. He immediately said not available. I just went past him and found many window seating. Opening itself unprofessional over-smart behaviour found in the staff😊. Then asked him to show the starters area. He took us to 2 items. I asked him just 2 non veg starters? He in return questioned Me “Tell me which 5 star restaurant is giving more than 2 veg and non veg starters in buffet?
I asked him what about sea food. He immediately replied very confidently “No”
Then i pointed to a fish item and asked what is that, he having no choice said “Yes, it’s fish” 😭. First 5 mins itself 5 star went underground. No professionalism, No knowledge of Items and return questioning back customers 🔥👏💐🤦♂️
Buffet menu count, especially starters count is silly to what we pay (2000rs per person).
Items rating 👇 Veg soup - 5/10 Noodles Salad - 6/10(but almost dried and frozen) Chicken soup - 2/10 ( looks like rasam without any piece) Chicken starters (only 2) -1/10 Sea starters - (only 1 or 2) - 3/10 Veg starters (only 2) - Gobi - 6/10 & Panneer - 1/10 Dum Biryani - 4/10 (Hyd biryani lovers stay away) Fish Pulusu - 6/10 Home made Chicken - 4/10 Curd rice - 7/10 (i liked this but unfortunately by that time stomach is filled with bland tastes).
Biggest and Unfortunate minus points - Each and every item is simply tasteless and bland. No salts, no spices. Not a single item will touch taste buds. If you love bland tastes very much, you may like the menu.
No tissues, even at dining tables.
No single beverage is included in 2000rs buffet. No juice no cold drinks.
No chilled water. Seriously, Do these guys know the summer temperatures in June in Hyderabad and these 5 star hotel idiots don’t know to serve cold water.
Cheaply serving 2 starters in buffet.
Those blazer suit guys were always seen interacting with female customers and strictly stayed away men. I said this to junior servicing guys, and after that blazer guy came to table. He said he will bring cook to take feedback but they never showed up again.
Except for main course, everything else is served cold. Only main course items have burners under them. Another silly 🙃. Items that supposed to be eaten joyful are dried and become hard pieces.
Good points 👇
Junior servicing guys with white dresses are much better and interactive than the blazer show-casers. These guys came to tables and responded promptly. When we asked if they don’t have single beverage in the buffet, this guy brought juice without additional charge.
Good ambience and large seating capacity. Although the tables are uneven and not meeting the standards of 5-star hotel.
No disturbing songs played.
Not madly crowded.
In the end i was said I should come on Sunday for good experience. I asked him, so the weekdays customers are idiots to...
Read moreTurquoise, one of their other three in-house Restaurants focusses on cuisines infused with local flavours. They serve modern European/Asian fare in a semi-open kitchen setup. One can choose from Ala Carte menu and international buffet spreads. Currently they are promoting Brunch every Sunday with a different menu inspired from several food cultures in India like the Holi Festival menu couple of weeks ago to the Easter Brunch last week and so the Punjabi Food Festival. They are keeping very well with their focal point of serving local dishes alongside international options.
I had the opportunity to immerse myself into the vibrant holi feast. I begun my brunch with Thandai (pleasantly cool, sweet with loads of sliced almonds), the most important drink to start off Holi celebrations. Desserts are always saved for the last, but not for a Marwadi! The mere sight of the Indian sweets from the Desserts counter left me deliciously stunned. I tasted each one of them shamelessly and nothing was ordinary, but overwhelming. The richness of coarse pistachios in the Pista Laddu had me swooning over. The crispy edged Gujia and the soft and gooey Balushai were my other favourites apart from Besan and Boondi Laddu. The hot Malpua and Jalebi could also be paired with cold Fruit Rabdi to create your own fusion.
I dunked crunchy Wadas into couple of Chutneys while waiting for my Pesarattu and Masala Dosa that were prepared live as per our customization. Moving ahead, I requested for penne in pink sauce from another live Pasta Station. I respectfully ignored the English breads, Indian curries such as Kofas, Mix Veg, and Dal and decided to get my hands dirty with Bhel, Pani Puri, Dahi Puri from the Chat Counter. From the staples dept, I enjoyed Fried Rice over Biryani. In between my food, I took a sip of refreshing Spark Sodas nicely contained in typical banta bottle. The Watermelon Mojito from the make-shift Mocktail counter had all the fun elements too.
While the options were huge but I felt the pricing in a way doesn’t justify the vegetarians, a fact which was very well taken by their PR. The restaurant is huge enough to snuggle in the grandeur of the modern interiors. The large window panes, the huge paintings on the monochromatically white walls adds to the wholesome...
Read moreMy worst buffet experience till now at Le Meridian in torquoise restaurant, buffet is charged at 1700 per person. Not even a single item was having any good taste everything was so bland. As if subway opened its new restaurant chain even that tastes better with all there sauces. Who keeps Maggie live counter in 1700 buffet?? That too when asked to make one, the chef said they are closing at its 10pm(this was offensive denying a service request but continuing later as they got bad feedback) but later I noticed you are preparing Maggie at 10:30 or 11 as one of friend complained it was watery soupy and no taste of Maggie. Well there was nothing to remember the buffet except the bland food so skipping maincourse which was without sambar and a sweet tomato rasam. Coming to desserts except gulabjamun nothing was good, even ice cream had that small ice chips running that taste. I am sure hotel management would be fully aware how the buffet standard is in hyderabad even at half of this price, but I believe they are lacking the effort of making it upto the mark or they just don't want to focus on this aspect of dinner buffet as I saw few reviews before me as well disappointed with food of torqiouse restaurant, hardly I see any improvement. If you decide to improve someday on buffet some bullet points. menu is very limited needs to expand in all areas starting from starter to desserts more options at live counter and please remove Maggie from live counter i get it you have tried to make curries and other items less spicy so everyone can eat but that shouldn't change the way it should taste. staff should be more patient while taking order, shouldn't pry in...
