Vanam Restaurant – Calm Place, But Food? Big Disappointment!
We recently visited Vanam. The place? Calm, clean, and really peaceful – full marks for the ambience! But once the food arrived, our peaceful vibe turned into pure confusion.
We started off with Mutton Ghee Roast – but wait, where’s the ghee? Where’s the roast? It felt like mutton was just fried with onions and dumped on the plate. Zero flavour, zero effort.
Next up was the famous Naatu Kodi Pulusu with Ragi Sankati. The menu hyped it as “very spicy” – we were excited! But after tasting it, we were just looking at each other like, “Did we miss something?” The curry had all the drama in the description, but zero performance on the plate. No spice, no taste, just vibes. Definitely not worth the price!
Still hopeful, we tried the Naatu Kodi Pulav. The menu proudly claimed “double spicy” – but double spice ela? We had to search for it like a treasure hunt. After complaining, they took it to the kitchen and brought it back – same story, no improvement.
Told the waiter politely, he said, “We will check.” And… that’s it. End of support.
By the way, we weren’t alone – even other tables were complaining about the food. Looks like we all came with hope and left with hunger!
Final Verdict: Great place to click pics and enjoy the breeze. But if you’re hungry – better carry food from home! High prices + Less quantity + Zero taste = Thanks but no...
Read moreI recently visited the newly opened Vanam Fine Dine restaurant in Khanamet, conveniently located near the Madhapur Airport stop. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was quite commendable, which made for a positive start to the dining experience. However, that’s where the positives largely ended.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations, especially given the prices they charge. I tried the Ragi Sangati with Nellore Chapala Pulusu, but the flavors felt lacklustre, and it didn’t quite hit the mark for what I was hoping for. We also ordered the Mutton Murabha Soup, which was far from impressive. Having tasted a similar dish at Shadab Restaurant near Madina Circle, I couldn’t help but compare the two. The soup from Vanam was nowhere near as rich or flavorful as what I’ve enjoyed at Shadab, leaving me disappointed.
To round off the meal, we decided to try the dessert—Gulab Jamun with Rabadi. Sadly, this too was a letdown. The dessert was served cold, when it’s traditionally best enjoyed warm, and the flavors were just not up to par.
While the service and ambiance at Vanam Fine Dine were noteworthy, the food left much to be desired. For the price they charge, the quality simply didn’t match, and it’s an experience I can’t say I’d repeat...
Read moreThey need to improve the options in the menu You can hardly find 3 options and the waiter will come up with more 3 which are not mentioned in the menu that too are not much satisfactory Confused waiters, take too long to respond if we ask to serve anything like onions and when we asked for extra onions one waiter got us some in new plate and other one came took that plate from our table and served it to the beside table, it felt really rude, while we are still eating he took away the mint sauce bowl instead asked if he could refill as the stater with which he served is still there in our plates, waiters need some training in treating the customers politely, they should take some measures to control mosquitoes another disgusting thing to handle while eating, only ambience can give 70 marks bcoz of mosquitoes and it felt noisy too, food never made me felt to visit for a second time and try another dish
Menu should look in such a way that a customer should visit restaurant for the second time to try new but it felt like if we go again we have to eat same 2-3 items as there are no options left so...
