Delicious food in Jaipur but pretentious and overated. The atmosphere was the nicest thing.
I arrived late for my reservation because of the Jaipur's traffic and I accepted all the responsibilities for this lateness by having to wait for the table. We were told to wait at the bar instead. In other parts of the world, waiting at a bar means you can wait at the bar and order drinks first before you get your table. I asked the staff at the bar if I could have a bottle of champagne and a seat somewhere at the bar with the bottle. The staff said he needed to ask the manager. The manager came back to me and reprimanded and spoken in a way that a restaurant manager should never speak to a paying customer. He said rudely what didn't I understand by waiting at the bar. Basically can't order any drinks and just had to literally wait at the bar. He said he had to do it or else anyone & bad people like thief can come in and order just a coke. anyone. I'm sorry but this is not the problem of the customers but this is the operation and management problem of the restaurant and there is no need to speak to a customer who has a reservation and will definitely eat like this. This is plainly rude and unnecessary. A customer doesn't want to hear about potential bad people coming to the restaurant.
The restaurant is also very pretentious to call itself a bar and restaurant manager really need to train the staff in the art of bartending. There were two options of champagne to choose from and when I ordered one, the staff didn't know the name and it turned out they didn't have this brand of champagne despite being in the menu and calling itself a bar. After choosing the other champagne, the bottle was brought in and it could clearly be seen that the staff lack experience opening a bottle of champagne. Moreover when the staff poured the champagne into the glass, the champagne was poured so high up the glass against the etiquette. The staff even shook my glass of champagne like a glass of wine which showed the lack of training. Moreover the ice bucket should have been brought and prepared beforehand. We had to ask for an ice bucket after the bottle of champagne was opened.
For the food, many things such as the gnocchi, risotto were excellent. But I advise against ordering the prosciutto. I have eaten Italian in many cities around the world and even in Italy and you know great quality prosciutto from the others. This is not the prosciutto that should be served in a restaurant of a...
Read moreA week in jaipur now & we had saved the last day for this place. And what an utter disappointment it was. Omg!!! Have they actually gone out and picked each staff on the basis of their “rude attitude” absolutely BAD r they ! If a minus star were available i would have picked that. We picked outdoors as the indoors looked too bright for our choice. Meh i would say. Nothing fancy. We Enter & the staff with attitude dripping seated us another almost threw the menu card on the table. Hardly any choice on the menu. Largely vegetarian. They tell you it can be customised ( non veg ) at a cost ( no clarity on the menu as to where ur cost will land ) . Me & my daughter wanted to taste their soup but not fill up our tummies so i asked him to make it 1 by 2. Staff tells me they wont do it, yet gets an empty bowl 2 spoons & places it in front of me & vanishes. Did he actually expect me to pour out the soup in to another bowl myself !!!! The pasta with added chicken ( on request) was just ordinary, the lasagne with pesto sauce was one of the coldest, driest, rubbery lasagne i have ever had. The last dish breaded chicken breast with either salad /potatoes . The chicken so dry, so chewy. All four dishes did not meet our expectations atall. On asking for water, the staff just picked a half filled bottle from another table & placed it in front if us & vanished. That was probably the last straw to the already sour evening. We gave him an earful. We did not click a single pic there as the whole evening just turned so rotten. Bar palladio- u guys have become famous but u have zero attributes of being in the hospitality industries. Remember “good food” is the bear minimum . If this continues u will only attract teenagers in cute dresses for that special day pictures. If u wish to target mature classy class u have just too many avenues to work upon. U guys have scored the lowest on our...
Read moreNestled in the historic Kanota Bagh, Bar Palladio Jaipur is a true gem in the heart of Rajasthan's capital. From the moment you step through its enchanting blue door, you're transported into a world of refined luxury and exquisite taste.
The first thing that strikes you is the stunning decor. The interiors are a visual feast, with vivid shades of blue, ornate arches, and lush greenery that create an atmosphere of opulence and romance. It's no wonder that Bar Palladio has earned a reputation as one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Jaipur.
The bar menu is equally impressive, offering a well-curated selection of cocktails and mocktails that cater to a variety of tastes. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails or prefer something more innovative, you'll find a drink to suit your palate. I highly recommend trying their signature "Palladio Spritz" – a refreshing and delightful concoction.
But the true highlight of Bar Palladio is its fusion of Italian and Indian cuisine. The menu features a tantalizing array of dishes, from mouthwatering pasta to flavorful Indian curries, all prepared with the finest ingredients and expert craftsmanship. The Tiramisu and Gnocchi were standout dishes during my visit, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality and authenticity.
The service is impeccable, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff that enhances the overall dining experience. The live music adds to the ambiance, making it a great place for a romantic dinner or a celebratory evening with friends.
