The aesthetic doesn't compete with the new ones across town. The chairs are uncomfortable. The place is supposed to be a rooftop, but there is no way you can see the view over those fences. The food is average at best. I ordered falafal. The order came out with average falafel already stuffed in stale pita bread filled with cabbage and olives. It left me with a bad aftertaste and we didn't order anything else after that.Ask for a freaking refund people. It was not good at all. When asked about the falafel and accompaniments to be served seperately, the waiter said this is how a platter is "supposed to be". It is always standard to serve it separate (on a platter, that's the whole point! And I've had it at this same place before, once.) If I WANTED stuffed undercooked stale pita breads which tasted mediocre, I would have ordered that and not a platter. The soup was okayish at best. If you wanna go for a place with smoking and beer, maybe it could redeem itself from the average bandwagon it is. Otherwise they do offer zomato and swiggy dine out bookings. I wouldn't want to pay the price they charge for the average food they serve. If you want a top notch rooftop place, don't visit this place. Had an extremely disappointing experience at Douse last night. We arrived and were told there were no available tables, but the staff assured us we’d get one soon as we were the only ones waiting. Trusting their word, we stood at the bar, ordered drinks, and waited patiently.

However, what followed was nothing short of frustrating. We watched as they kept seating guests who arrived after us, completely ignoring their initial promise. Despite multiple follow-ups, they continued to prioritize others while we remained standing with no explanation. Eventually, after waiting far longer than reasonable, we had no choice but to leave.

It’s one thing for a place to be busy—it’s another to be blatantly disregarded and misled. If they had simply been upfront about wait times or followed a fair system, we wouldn’t have minded. But the lack of professionalism and transparency made it clear that they pick and choose who gets priority, regardless of who was actually waiting first.
