We had an incredible dining experience at Clove, the rooftop restaurant at The Bloom Hotel! From the breakfast buffet to lunch, snacks, and dinner, every meal was a delight.
The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with a wide spread of delicious dishes including masala dosa, puri bhaji, omelette, upma, poha, and fresh-made fruit juices. The variety and quality of the food were impressive, and we enjoyed every bite.
For lunch, we had rice, dal tadka, and French fries, which were all flavorful and satisfying. Dinner was equally impressive, with dishes like butter rotis, dal tadka, and mix veg on one day, and Chinese stir-fried noodles and crispy vegetables on another. We also enjoyed fried rice and French fries on our last day.
The snacks were equally delightful, with cappuccino and fries with chipotle mayo being a highlight. The staff at Clove were very courteous and welcoming, with Bilkis Ma'am standing out for her friendly and cheering demeanor. She took a genuine interest in our trip, asking about the spots we visited and offering recommendations.
Bilkis Ma'am was also knowledgeable about the local culture and cuisine, sharing insights about famous Kashmiri dishes and the best time to visit Kashmir (during snowfall). She even offered to bring apples from her own house garden for us! Her suggestion to take a shikara ride was spot on, and we ended up enjoying it on our last day.
Overall, Clove is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for delicious food, stunning views, and exceptional service. The rooftop setting adds to the ambiance, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. We would highly recommend Clove to anyone visiting Srinagar, and we're sure we'll be...

Read moreI visited this place for the first time. The ambience was quite nice, and the live singer truly created a great vibe. In fact, I — along with many others — came on his invitation.
However, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service and questionable pricing practices. The staff was slow and inattentive. What’s more concerning is the use of deceptive tactics. For instance, they offered a small ice cream, calling it “complimentary,” but later added it to the bill at an exorbitant rate.
They also subtly pushed us to order certain platters, which turned out to be highly overpriced, especially considering the small portion sizes. I was astonished to see even bottled water priced over ₹150 — more than what some premium restaurants abroad charge.
Although the staff appears polite, it feels more like a sales tactic than genuine hospitality. A place with such good ambience and music has potential, but the exploitative pricing and misleading practices leave a bad impression.
Even if prices are high, a guest should leave with a smile and a sense of satisfaction. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and drained by the...
