If only there was a no star I could give. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s evident why they are empty not even during the day but also at night. I asked for a masala dosa and they served a FOUL smelling masala inside the dosa. I could already smell the masala when it came but I only had one bite and boy it was bad. The chutney and sambhar were also old and tasted weird and too sour. Even the dosa batter was too sour and seemed old too. When I told this to the staff they told me to come and pay at the counter not even saying a thing about the dosa, I took the dosa plate to the manager or whoever shabby irresponsible fellow in a black shirt he was, asked him to taste his own dosa and masala. The masala was right there outside in those bottle coolers or commercial fridge. He tasted it and instantly said yes it has gone bad and there was no sorry nothing; he just asked me to wait for another few minutes while he asked his guy to prep another dosa. Literally no shame, no sorry nothing. Not even bit of responsibility being taken here. And when I started to leave the staff shamelessly told me she had a coffee and he asked me to pay for it. While I was paying for the coffee, the quantity of which was too less for the price they asked, I asked the manager Atleast show some sort of shame or sorry on your face but more arrogantly he just told me I am giving you another dosa but you only are not taking it. Some great Kashmir hospitality I am experiencing here in Kashmir. Some government recognized food corporation should really raid these places. Because of less tourists they are absolutely compromising on all quality and just vehemently are delivering rotten food. Just avoid this place at all costs. I already got some...
Read moreDisappointing We recently visited Srinagar and decided to try Veg Punjabi Hatti, expecting a decent meal. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
We placed our order and waited patiently, but the service was shockingly poor. Despite confirming our order, the waiter completely forgot about it. After reminding him, we still had to wait another 25 minutes before the food arrived. We ordered Bhindi Masala and Mix Veg, but both dishes were clearly stale and reheated.
The vegetables were soggy and lacked freshness. We couldn't even finish the food—it was that bad.
When we went to pay, I mentioned to the person at the billing counter that the Mix Veg was stale and reheated. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he responded rudely, saying, "We serve only like this, pay the bill and go. Don't teach us how to serve food."
There was no sense of hygiene in the restaurant, the staff was unprofessional and arrogant, and the overall service was pathetic. They clearly do not care about customers or their feedback.
I would strongly advise avoiding this place if you're looking for good food and respectful service during your stay...
