Novelty Restaurant — Restaurant in Jharkhand

Today I along with my siblings went to Novelty Restuarant , Bistupur . Ordered the main course and while eating my sister found in her plate , "hair". We asked the waiter and the staffs person of Novelty and showed them the hair in the plate . They agreed that the hair was in the plate and said I'm discussing . We waited for 5 mins. and to your surprise they were saying that they will only replace the half plate of the ordered Murr Masalam as we ordered the full plate of Murr Masalam . They are not ready to replace the items and infact found arguing with us . I feel so bad the way there are saying and arguing with me . They even went to our table no.2 and counting the left over items of Murr Masalam . I find this so cheap and mean. It was really humilating and I totally lost my respect for Novelty Restuarant . I'm totally in shock thar even the manager instead of managing the situation and listening to the customer went on arguing with the customer . It was totally a bad situation and I promise not to visit Novelty Restuarant again in my entire life . Also I make sure none of my family members and close relatives and friends will face such situations in the future . So I highly recommend them not to visit the Restuarant .

The matter could have solved easily and in a good manner but they extended it .

Guys I also recommend all please go to that places or Restaurant where they treat you well. Novelty Restuarant is not a place where you find the staffs and waiter even the manager is misbehaving with their customers...

No doubt that the food they serve is delicious however the restaurant had never been in our top priority list owing to excess crowd and noise. We recently visited them after a long gap of some 5 - 6 years, out of curiosity that whether there has been any change during these years. We found that the interiors are madeover and the seating arrangements have changed. The restaurant didn't look like an old restaurant due to the facelift, I believe is given during the lockdown. There are cubicles, new crew with female staff added, changed menue etc. However to our dismay there has not been any change in the atmosphere as there was enough of noise to give you a headache while you finish your food. I am surprised, why one has to use every corner of the space to put a table (and chairs) to squeeze in as many customers as they can. For me eating out is all about the atmosphere, environment, peace and quality time, yes it is for most of us. This is hugely lacking at Novelty. One of the heritage hotels of Jamshedpur, it's fame is well renowned throughout the city. Standing tall and proud since 1948, the ambience and the interiors give a classic but modern feel. The food was amazing. We tried the following dishes:

Chicken Tikka Biryani: One of the most highly recommended dishes of this restaurant, the biryani was flavourful, the chicken had that smoky but tender bite to it. Amazing taste.

Mutton Biryani: Again, classic biryani with loads of flavour. The mutton chunks were boneless, and were soft and perfectly cooked. And did I also mention that all the biryanis come with aloo (aloo in biryani lovers rejoice!)

Chaash: Perfect accompaniment to the biryani, although the biryani did come with raitas. Cool, delicious buttermilk felt refreshing in this hot summer day.

Lassi: Sweet lassi, nothing much to add. Tasted great.
