Bambooz Lounge Bar & Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Kalyan-Dombivli

This place used to be my family's hangout. We used to enjoy really tasty food while having good time with Family members.

The service is still exceptionally good.

I would have given 5 star rating then.(I wonder why I have not rated this restaurant)

Management introduced DJ after lockdown.

It is so loud... If you want to enjoy your food while chatting with your family.. then you can not do that because of loud noise.

And it is very dark... You can not see the dish.. for many people visually experiencing the food is also important.

They serve great dishes by the way.. but you can not enjoy it.

Earlier It was really a fine dine experience but now the management has ruined it for us.

This review is solely based on our personal taste.

Those who enjoy going to deafening DJ playing in Lounge Bar might really enjoy this place.

Food Quality & Pricing • The starters, especially the Chinese ones, need a lot of improvement—both in taste and quality. • The pricing is on the higher side—our bill was ₹4,500, but the food did not feel worth the price. • On the positive side, the masala papad and mocktails were quite good. However, both veg and non-veg dishes need significant improvement in terms of flavor and preparation.

Service & Ambiance • The waitstaff needs to be more polite and professional, especially given the pricing of the restaurant. • The outdoor seating area requires better maintenance and comfort enhancements.

Positives • The restaurant is located slightly inside, so parking is not an issue, which is a plus in a city like Kalyan.

Final Verdict

While the ambiance and parking are good, the food and service need major improvements to justify the high pricing. Hoping for better quality...

Well, it was a favorite for our family until recently. The food quality had been going downwards but our last visit on Sunday, Jan 26 was an ultimate low. The restaurant is under renovation so we were asked to sit out in the garden accompanied by stray cats, hoards of mosquitoes and flies. I don't know what was worse, the sound and smell of flies and mosquitoes being electrocuted right at our table or smell of mosquito repellent or the pieces of coal in our nan or the stale paneer or the cold chicken soup. Eventually, I suffered from food poisoning, my brother had severe acidity. So yeah, it was an ultimate letdown. Just stay clear out of this one. There are better places available If you wanna spend a premium price for a dinner with fowl and flies around you. 2 stars just because it used to be nice...
