2 years of wonderful patronage and love for their food ended today with their horrendous attitude and lack of basic customer service Ordered the beef shish and got some dry burnt beef chunks. Had a small piece and it was extremely dry Experience 1 - waiter - says its just burnt on the top rest is fine.! 🙄🙄 Experience 2- captain comes and explains and justifies that the dish is prepared tat way, to later confess yes its dry and burnt . Experience 3- a person introduced himself as the chef ( was seen attending the cash too cud be the partner or owner ) worst experience from this gentleman. Has no courteousness, tells me they normally serve the dish like this burnt and dry and if i want it juicy i hv to ask for it. Hv been to different countries, different cuisines , different experiences, never have i heard that we need to ask for juicy tender meat....on the contrary many a times we do ask to make it crispier...this was a first And then tells me dont pay for it... Matter solved ...why wud u not take money for the dish you prepared so rightly as per you? I dint want a free meal...i wanted a good meal.
Attached a photograph....just see for yourself how burnt they served me the meat and they claim that to be the right way.
Am sorry, i donot give detailed negative review...coz food at times gets to be up and down as its human beings cooking ..but such negative attitude, such a negative and unhealthy discussion over a small thing....justification that the food is not burnt..normally served dry....and yhe attitude with which they say just dont pay... Wow !
This was my second visit in 2 weeks to this place.... I have never had such a horrible experience ever anywhere... Normally howmuchever yhe screwup happens the chef or the manager comes and apologises first, here the person only came to justify and tell me i donno how this works...thank you ...but no thank you.
I sat there and ordered tikka from the newly opened Wedesi Dhaba and took it home...next review will update on their food.... So you know ...choices are plenty....
Forgot to add, we had ceaser salad, fish fingers and beef steak....every dish was one on one better.... This cud have been a one off episode but for the high and mighty attitude of the people...
Read more1 point plus for introducing dishes like pide, humus, maze and kunafe to me.. Point to be also noted here that food is always served hot with all the necessary table arrangements required. Food quality is good and quantity is sufficient according to my appetite and my expectations. 1/2 point minus for limited sweet accompniments like donuts, pastries or savoury puffs like small munching options with coffee options/ in cafe menu.
1 point plus for service and staff. always communicative, do suggestions in menu if we miss out any and care to ask whether we like food or not. If in case food will take time to prepare/serve then they always inform about that and tell us how much time it will take to prepare, if we comfortable to wait and all other necessary details while taking order. Even if in case they fail to explain any detail we needed to know and if we ask about it to them, they always reply politely. The same we have experienced whenever we order home delivery also.
1 point plus for good ambience and various sitting arrangments according to our mood and requirments. Cafe area is my personal favourite. Good location with garden area and parking facility, but one signboard will be good on main road to guide people to this place. 1/2 point minus for bit loud music and kind of music is choosen to play there, especially in cafe as i am a big fan of cafe culture.
1 point plus for the initiative taken by owners to start such a conceptual cafe and a restaurant in place like Kannur and still stick to it. But there is always scope for improvisation. One suggestion, if they can upgrade their menu now with 2 or 3 new dishes of turkish origin, and few accompaniments with coffee options. Thank you and...
Read moreThe restaurant is a renovation of a old style house and that has been done pretty neatly. The ambience is nice and the setup is good. They have made use of the rooms beautifully and decorated it by providing both tables and majlis for dining. Parking is available at the ground opposite to the restaurant. The service is on prompt too and caters to the customer needs. With respect to the food, it was fine. I cannot comment it as excellent as such. But in the okay range only. I had ordered Turkwise Chicken Pizza, Penne Alfredo Chicken Pasta, Turkwise Rice Chicken and Shish Kebab Chicken, along with Mint Lime for drinks and Turkish Kunafa for sweet. Turkwise Chicken Pizza was fine. The chicken tasted properly though the cheese part was slightly missing. Penne Alfredo Chicken Pasta was not upto the mark as the salt was less in it and the white sauce didn’t taste all that great as it should have. Turkwise Rice Chicken tasted different. The rice had a different taste and was fine. Chicken in it was good and the flavour tasted nice. Shish Kebab Chicken was also fine. Nothing great to speak of. But yeah, fine. Mint lime was ok, while Turkwise Kunafa was a big let down. It did not taste like how a Kunafa should properly taste. Altogether the place is recommended for a different experience altogether. Pricing is...
