Title: A Flavorful Lunch Journey with Exemplary Management at Adyar Ananda Bhavan Restaurant

From the moment I stepped into Adyar Ananda Bhavan, I was greeted with the tantalizing aromas of Indian spices and freshly prepared dishes. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed, setting the perfect tone for a delightful lunch experience.

As I perused the extensive menu, I was impressed by the variety of options available, ranging from traditional South Indian delicacies to North Indian favorites. After much deliberation, I decided to start with their signature appetizer, the crispy medu vada, accompanied by a trio of flavorful chutneys. The vada was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside, with a soft and fluffy interior that melted in my mouth.

For the main course, I opted for the classic thali, which showcased an assortment of dishes including fragrant basmati rice, creamy dal tadka, aromatic vegetable curry, and buttery naan. Each component was expertly prepared, bursting with authentic flavors and spices that danced on my palate with every bite.

To complement my meal, I indulged in a refreshing mango lassi, which provided a delightful contrast to the rich and savory dishes. The sweetness of the mango balanced perfectly with the tanginess of the yogurt, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

What truly set my experience apart was the exemplary management at Adyar Ananda Bhavan. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff members were attentive, courteous, and well-versed in the menu, providing recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was flawless.

The ambiance was vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch with friends or family. Throughout my meal, I observed the efficient coordination among the staff, ensuring that orders were promptly taken, dishes were served piping hot, and any requests were met with a smile.

In conclusion, my experience at Adyar Ananda Bhavan was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the combination of mouthwatering cuisine and outstanding management. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Indian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere, where good food is complemented by...

This place needed a revised rating/review after my recent experiences and it was not a good one.

One day we went in the afternoon in their service area and they were supposedly serving only Chinese as it was post lunch time. Firstly, it’s Indian-Chinese and they even put coriander leaves, lol! I felt quantity is less for the price they charge. What put us back is that, even after clearly publishing that they provide hot drinking water, the staff said No to our request. After our persistence they provided lukewarm water which went cold in the AC. Funny part is they provided ‘cold’ finger bowl and on pointing out this issue the person who served it took it in surprise - guess he cannot sense hot/cold.

Another bad experience when we went for breakfast another day. The self-service area in ground floor has been reduced to accommodate space for online/delivery orders packaging. Due to this tables are put in a congested fashion that you can’t move out without bothering other customers. Very delay in preparing our orders as they focus on delivery. They don’t even refill items like chutney on time.

I have decided not to go back. There are other veg restaurants in the area though small, they provide better service. Time to relook at your way of operation A2B!

First review more than a year ago, 5 stars

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in the area. They have self-service in the ground floor and fine dining in the first floor. Food taste and quality are top notch and hence prices are above average. The place can get heavily crowded during lunch time and can end up in long wait times. They don’t have a dedicated parking space or a valet service and finding a parking spot for car in the area is very challenging. They also have rooms available but I...

The menu at Adyar Ananda Bhavan boasts a wide range of traditional and contemporary dishes that celebrate the flavors of South India. From the iconic dosas and idlis to mouthwatering sweets and snacks, each item is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to authentic taste.

A2B's dedication to quality and taste is evident in every dish. The use of fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and skilled preparation contribute to a dining experience that's both satisfying and memorable.

The ambiance of Adyar Ananda Bhavan strikes a balance between modernity and tradition. The contemporary decor and comfortable seating make it a great place for casual meals or gatherings with friends and family.

Adyar Anand Bhavan is an institution. You can always count on it for some good South Indian staples at a stellar price. This location has a quick food counter option on the ground floor and a dining option on the first floor. It's a little away from the main Neeladri Road but parking is plenty nearby. The ambience is okay. The seating is comfortable. There is nothing much to look at and appreciate but this place is known for its food. I highly recommend the Sambar Vada and Dosas. Each dosa comes with a variety of chutneys to make things interesting. The Sambar Vada is served piping hot and tastes divine. A2B also provides North Indian food but it isn't the best. We went for some Paneer Achari Tikka and it was absolutely sub par. It would be best to stick with the multitude of South Indian dishes available here. To end the meal, we opted for some hot Badam Milk. This was an absolute treat. With some sweet and cinnamon spice, this is a great way to end the dinner. Service on the first floor is really good. There are multiple servers available and they know the best dishes available. There is also a greeter at the doorway. You don't see that often. Adyar Anand Bhavan is the place to get some healthy food when cooking at home isn't an option for the evening.

Previously it was considered to be good restaurant but now a days there is no guarantee regarding its quality and cleanliness. The biggest demerit of this restaurant is that their kitchen is inside and no body can see how the food is being prepared whereas we can see the food being prepared before our eyes in other restaurants like the nearby Balaji Bhawan where food is prepared before our eyes with full cleanliness. Another demerit of this restaurant is that there is no parking space for four wheelers whereas in the nearby Balaji Bhawan, there is ample parking space for four wheelers. As regards price, both restaurants are too much costly. For simple dosa, they are charging more than rupees 120/- There are so many Udupi type restaurants in Bangalore, which are still charging Rs.50/- to Rs.80/- for a simple dosa. But these restaurants are charging so much for simple south indian foods.

We went there for early dinner around 6.30pm. Place was not crowded at all. We ordered mini tiffin, poori masal, Chapathi, Baby corn pepper fry, Ulundhu vadai, Schezwan sizzler and coffee. Mini tiffin - It's a must try here, absolutely loved the platter. Poori masal - It was good. Chapathi - The vegetable gravy was not upto the mark. Baby corn pepper fry - The corn pieces were too big or else the taste would've been good. Ulundhu vadai - It was not crispy enough and easy okish. Schezwan sizzler - This was good with good mix of items like stirred veggies, french fries, noodles and Manchurian. Coffee - Good coffee, enjoyed it. Service - It was slow, and we have to keep calling them to make order or to ask accompaniments. We have visited multiple times and each time the same thing repeats. Ambience- Neat and pleasant ambience. Overall a good place to have food.
