We have been multiple times to this restaurant because 1st- it is closest to our place, 2nd- The food is not bad in taste, honestly speaking. however i have great concern about their principles and customer-care. 1st - Any weekends you do not get parking in the so called underground parking lot, which is more of a bigger basement than a decent parking-lot it seems... somehow it is being managed as a parking lot. the 2nd most important concern is they do not care of customer satisfaction, you will find the below very strange rules:- 1- You will find food a less costlier when you dine in than you take away, the absurd logic they give we want people to come in than take away, they do not realize that people do not have too much time to wait for a dinner table to get (approx. 30 minutes if you are caught-up on a wrong day) that too when you have already struggled and tried your muscles enough for getting a parking place ( it seems like they have completely forgot that any place like this first needs a respectable parking place and than anything else ) . 2- The place does not seem to be very hygienic either, as i have seen scores of people (from both gender flock the washroom and its dirtier like anything as you feel it, they should surely look into it when they have more customers, they should just not ignore the things like this, rather make more arrangements keeping hygiene in mind and place first. I have also seen cooks cooking/packing food without covering their hands and mouths and sneezing/coughing on open food items near the take-away. 3- Also, when you take away something, it seems like either you are paying any debt you have taken from them (you pay a handsome 200+ Rs. for just a small DIBBI (a small plastic container of paneer lababdaar), that too they claim is discounted, now you can imagine yourself). It may only suffice for 1 person. for example - i took a non-veg platter (chicken tikka) and it costs around 720+ taxes (approx arorund Rs. 759 and then so called 20-30 Rs. discount, finally you have to pay around Rs. 690 , and believe me it can not even suffice for 2 normal people, i am not frustrated because i paid 2 much for a meagre quantity but i am frustrated how people are tricking you and me very conveniently these days, and guess i really do not know if people are there to raise voice against it.. I am done with this place now i guess.....Thanks.. Believe i feel more satisfied if i go to 5-Star place and pay may be four or five times for a family of 4-5 people can eat very comfortably , with no tricks on quality or quantity and then customer attn. as primary, I believe we will have to explore more new places around or may be at a distance where we can really get value worth money...and probably we can get a little customer attn. & respect too. Thanks All, This is my honest...
Read moreDon't go to this restaurant seeing the rating on Google. I went seeing the rating and the experience was pathetic. This place is over priced and there is no quality control on the food. Even if you give a feed back they don't even bother to consider that. Four items I tried from here.
Rating for the dishes Honey Chilli Chicken - Rating 0/5 - returned Chilli chicken dry - Rating 1/5 - ₹210 Kerala Porotta - Rating 2/5 - ₹25/piece Murg Musallam Half - Rating 3/5 - ₹380
Restaurant Ambiance - 4/5 Service 3/5
Honey Chilli Chicken Rating 0/5 Please don't think of ordering that dish 😭. I ordered this item and they gave me some sauce coated chicken with a sweet candy tasting dish. It was tasting exactly like a cheep candy 🍬. When I told them that they the one who served was told me that this is the actual taste of Honey Chilli Chicken. And without even checking that he claimed that it is spicy showing a chili that kept on the plate for garnishing 🤣. Then I told please take the dish as I won't be able to eat a single in piece at all .. the they told that it will charged and they won't be able to replace.. I said fine.. please take it.. not sure what happened another guy came and said sorry about that and asked me what you need as replacement. Then comes the second dish
Chilli chicken dry Rating 1/5 Again the same thing some sauce coated chicken, Which tastes like chilli chicken 😁. The dough that they used for coating the chicken was more than the actual chicken piece inside it. Please note that I am not exaggerating this. I am attaching the photos for the same.
Kerala Porotta Rating 2/5 The kerala Porotta that we ordered was too dry and very thick. Usually it should be a soft and layered structure. It was very dry and thick.
Murg Musallam Half Rating 3/5 This was suggested by the guy who took the order as he told it was the special for the day. So we blindly ordered and it was not something exceptional. It was a different tasting chicken dish but not something special. If this was the special dish for that day what would be the case of normal...
Read moreVillage Restaurant is a rustic, open-air eatery a short drive north-west of Kengeri, set on Janapriya Road at Kadabagere Cross (off Magadi Road). Google users give it roughly 4 / 5 from 2 600-plus reviews, and it operates daily from 11 :30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The space is laid out like a miniature hamlet: thatched-roof huts, mud-plaster walls, bamboo fencing and plenty of greenery create a getaway vibe. Families appreciate the roomy lawns, dedicated parking and quirky touches such as tame rabbits hopping between tables; larger groups like the private cabin seating for birthdays or reunions. Reviewers highlight the relaxed ambience but warn that service can slow down at peak times, so plan for a leisurely meal.
The kitchen turns out both North- and South-Indian crowd-pleasers. Best-sellers include the smoky tandoor platter, pepper chicken, chicken ghee-roast and an aromatic dum biryani, while vegetarians single out the paneer dishes and live dosa counter. Portions are generous, and most diners feel the pricing is “reasonable” to “moderate” (expect ₹1 000–₹1 200 for two without alcohol). A small bar menu is available, though some guests note the vibe becomes more pub-like later in the evening.
If you live closer to Electronics City, Village runs a second outlet on Neeladri Main Road; that branch scores 3.2 / 5 for dine-in but a strong 4+ for delivery, and it’s known for quick-fire tandoori items and home-style curries.
Overall, Village Restaurant is worth a visit when you want hearty food in a laid-back “day-in-the-countryside” setting—just arrive early if you’re hungry...
