This review is based on Home Delivery. We had ordered the Vegetarian Combos from Barbeque Nation on a Sunday evening. Must say that the food was packed so well and not a bit of the liquid items had spilled out of the container. It took about 45 minutes for the food to be delivered, but each of the items were hot and we could not wait to dig in!
We had ordered the following:
Classic Meal Box Veg Regular - Serves 1 to 2 people. This lip-smacking Meal Box comprises: Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Barbecue Veg Dum Biriyani, Malabar Paratha (3 Nos), Raita, Garden Salad and Angoori Gulab Jamun (8 Nos). Coincidentally, both of the gravies are my favorite. They were rich and creamy and paired well with soft and flaky Malabar Paratha. The Veg Dum Biriyani was packed with so many flavours. It tasted really well by itself or with a few spoons of gravy or raita. Without Dessert, a meal is incomplete, so the Gulab Jamun did justice to satisfy our sweet tooth.
Chicken Biriyani and Butter Chicken Meal - This is sufficient for one person. If you are a fan of Chicken Dishes, then this would be perfect for you. The combo comprised Chicken Dum Biriyani, Butter Chicken Masala, Malabar Paratha (1) and Raita. There are two to three pieces of juicy Chicken in the Biriyani, the Butter Chicken Masala was creamy as can be, the Malabar Paratha melted in your mouth and the Raita cooled down the spice level.
I've never visited the Outlet, but have heard it's quite an entertaining place as many Customers like to celebrate their birthdays or anniversaries.
With a vast menu to choose from, you can try a different dish each time.

Read moreOne of the worst experience my frnd and I had at the BBQ nation, Mangalore branch. We were asked “ how was the food” and to that our reply was “ Good”, but the staff there replies saying “ good is 40% that means it’s average etc. and he kept explaining it and my question then was what are the option to chose from? He goes- good, very good, excellent. So there is no option of average or bad at all. And he kept saying that good is 40% n what not multiple times that I had to literally ask tell him, what rating do u want me to give so we can just cut this conversation. And he still dint leave and I literally had to request him to leave so my frnd and I can continue our talk and have some conversation than listen to BBQ nation rating theory.
But that’s not it, post meal when we were done he dropped by again n this time he asked my frnd and her answer was good, and guess what he repeated himself overal again. And l literally had to step in and tell him to stop.
Honest review of the food served, the meat starters were good but mushroom, potato were super sweet, main course biryani wasn’t great, paneer n chicken were sweet again. So in short we weren’t happy with the food and the service.
My honest advice, kindly upgrade ur rating policy to average, good and very good. So this way your good won’t be 40% and also it gives room for improvement rather argue with the customer. And pls do not add sugar in your food to a point that it tastes like dessert.
I have visited BBQ nation in different cities and my experience was always great there. It’s disappointing to have a service like this in...

I recently visited BBQ Nation on a Sunday, hoping for a delightful dining experience, but left feeling quite disappointed. Despite being a weekend, the restaurant lacked a variety of food options, especially mutton dishes and the much-anticipated mutton biryani. It’s perplexing that a restaurant doesn’t offer a wider selection of popular items on one of the busiest days of the week.
The service, unfortunately, was subpar. Our table was frequently left unattended, and we often found ourselves searching for waiters to place our orders or request assistance. This lack of attentiveness significantly marred our dining experience. Initially they had given dirty plates as well, No additional tissue papers, we have taken glass and fork from other tables !!
To add to the frustration, our bill was mixed up with another customer’s. We were overcharged by 212 rupees when we paid via GPay. Initially, the staff tried to attribute the discrepancy to GST taxes, which were supposedly not included on the printed bill. However, upon recalculating, we found this explanation to be incorrect. After pointing this out, the staff finally acknowledged their mistake and refunded the excess amount. This billing error, coupled with the poor service, was extremely disappointing.
Considering we were also charged a service tax, the expectation for competent service was justified. Unfortunately, the reality fell short. Good service should be a given when customers are paying...
