The term 'Kamath' being one of the famous food brand, we thought of going to this place.
It had a great space for parking but when comin to food, it was one of the most worst experience
Ordered meals on banana leaf and trust me, it was the biggest regret. They r so slow and they will serve food so slowly. It nearly took 20 mins to keep banana leaf in front of us and 30 mins to start serving the food. The waiters/servers are so slow n careless to even respond to the customers.
Coming to the taste, every single item in the thali was so bland without even basic salt. They said it was North Indian thali but there was nothing like south or north in it. He was serving literally a lazy chef's output who is not even bothered to check the customer satisfaction.
The more worst part - the servers or waiters will b starting at u literally like military people making sure that u don't share your food with anyone. In case u r sharing your food with a kid who is less than 8 years, u will b asked to pay 100 extra 🤦🏻♀️
Ordered veg fried rice which was 150 + taxes and the quantity was so less that the entire small bowl was completed by my 5 year old daughter (i think it was 250 ml bowl)
Coming to taste - it was not veg fried rice. It was ' only beans rice' which was tossed in lot of oil without any Chinese sauces and again bland in taste.
They were no veggies like carrot, cabbage or anything else, except for beans 🤦🏻♀️
I had to pay literally 560 for two tasteless meals and one worthless so called veg fried rice.
Never will i go to this place again or refer it to anyone i know!!!
A total dissatisfaction and disappointment place to visit...
Read moreI visited Kamat Madhuvan Veg Restaurant, Mysore on 4th October 2025 at around 9:53 PM, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had.
The person sitting at the cash counter was extremely rude and arrogant. Even though there were plenty of empty tables near the entrance, customers were being rudely asked to move inside, without any courtesy or explanation. Many people actually walked out because of this behavior, but since it was late and I was with my wife and kids, we had no choice but to stay.
We ordered meals, but despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they started serving only at 10:30 PM. The service was very slow and unorganized. When we politely asked for a small portion of extra rice for rasam, one of the servers brought it — but shockingly, a fat guy from their team started abusing the server loudly right in front of the customers. It was completely unprofessional and uncomfortable to watch.
I couldn’t even finish my meal. I just walked out and still paid the full ₹660 for two meals and one child meal.
Overall, the management seriously lacks basic manners and customer service skills. The staff treats customers as if they’re doing us a favor. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you value respect and...
Read moreHands down the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. We went there for a family lunch and left absolutely shocked by how pathetic the service was. The so-called Manager, Mr. Manjunath, is a complete disaster — arrogant, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. He was literally shouting at his own staff in front of customers like it’s a fish market, not a hotel.
To make things worse, he was instructing them to cut down items from what was supposed to be a full meal! Can you believe that? You pay for a full meal, and they decide to serve you less — just because their manager wants to save a few bucks or speed things up. Absolutely shameless.
And his tone with customers? Disgusting. Zero courtesy, zero basic manners. Instead of listening, he rudely snaps, “Order once, don’t keep repeating” — excuse me? That’s not customer service, that’s a power trip. If he doesn’t know how to talk to people, he has no business being in this industry.
Avoid this place like the plague. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy dealing with this kind of trashy behaviour. This hotel deserves no stars, and Mr. Manjunath deserves no position in...
