My friends and I recently visited Pabbas Ice Cream Parlour in Mangalore, and it was an experience that rekindled fond memories while exceeding our expectations. The iconic Pabbas, known for its unique flavors and quality, has once again proven why it remains a beloved destination for ice cream enthusiasts.
We ordered the Parafite, Dilcush, and the famous Gadbad to indulge in a nostalgic treat, and we were not disappointed. Each dessert was a delightful blend of rich flavors and textures that transported us back to our college days. The Parafite was a perfect mix of creamy layers, fruits, and nuts, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite. The Dilcush, true to its name, was a burst of sweetness and freshness, making it an absolute joy to eat.
However, it was the Gadbad that truly stole the show. This layered ice cream sundae, packed with fruits, jelly, and dry fruits, was an explosion of flavors that danced on our taste buds. The consistency and taste of the Gadbad remain as fabulous as ever, a testament to Pabbas' commitment to maintaining their high standards.
The ambiance of the parlour was welcoming and vibrant, enhancing our overall experience. The staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring that our orders were served promptly despite the busy atmosphere.

Read moreIf you’re in Mangalore and haven’t been to Pabbas yet, are you even living right?
We went to Pabbas on a buzzing Friday evening after hearing legendary tales about this place. As soon as we reached, we were welcomed not by ice cream, but by a token system and a waiting line longer than the plot of a daily soap.
The hunger levels escalated from hungry to hungrier to we-will-start-eating-the-menu-soon.
We actually joked with the person taking our order that if the ice cream wasn’t amazing after waiting 45 minutes, we weren’t going to pay. (Don’t worry, we’re not criminals. Just very, very hangry.)
BUT—once our order was placed, everything changed. Service was shockingly quick (like, blink-and-your-sundae-is-here quick), and the food? Let’s just say, the gods of dessert were smiling down on us that day.
We tried sandwiches and burgers, which were genuinely good, but the ice creams? Mind. Blown. The Pabbas Special was a party of textures and flavours – cold, crunchy, gooey, creamy, dreamy. And the Gudbud? I don’t know what wizardry that is, but I felt spiritually healed after eating it.
Moral of the story: Yes, there’s a wait. Yes, it’s crowded. And yes, it’s 1000% worth it.
If you’re visiting Mangalore—or even just passing through—make a pit stop at Pabbas. Your taste buds will write you a thank-you letter.
