I was famished, and the sight of this restaurant got me interested to have lunch here. I was in for a pleasant surprise. A nice, cozy restaurant with limited items on the menu. I chose to have a simple Bangude (mackeral)Fish thali. What came on to my table was a large steel plate with 2 small servings of prawn curry, yetti (prawn) chutney with grated coconut, green chilly chutney, some fryums, 2 neer dose inside a momo wicker basket, bowl of boiled rice and a yummy plate of tawa fry large bangude (mackeral) with sprinkling of chopped onion rings and a slice of lemon. The very first morsel transported me back to my late mother's cuisine. Delectable and exactly like home made. And to top it all the bill blew me off my chair. A 'princely' Rs.210 for this lunch made for an emperor. I rubbed my eyes and re confirmed with my hostess if she missed out any charge. She said that's the charge on the menu. The mushroom sukkha exhibited an overwhelming coconut oil flavor with minimal spiciness. The overall taste was mid and could be improved by reducing the oil content and enhancing the flavor profile.
However, the Korean chicken and Kung Pao paneer were both exceptionally well-prepared and highly enjoyable. These dishes were undoubtedly the highlights of our meal.
