Having heard so much about Tandoor Mangalore, I was eager to experience what makes this place so popular in Mangalore. As a local Mangalorean, I had high expectations, especially regarding the authenticity of the cuisine.

Food: While the restaurant is renowned for its offerings, I found that some dishes fell short of the authentic Mangalorean flavors I was hoping for. The taste did not fully reflect the traditional essence I associate with our local cuisine. However, it’s clear that the restaurant is popular for a reason, and some patrons might appreciate the variations they offer.

Customer Service: A standout feature of this restaurant is its customer service. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. When the family section was closed, they graciously relocated us to the bar section without hesitation, which demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Hygiene: Unfortunately, hygiene was a concern. The bar area, while lively, did not meet my cleanliness expectations. The washrooms, in particular, were not well-maintained, which impacted the overall dining experience.

Service: On a positive note, the service was exemplary. The waiters and captains were attentive, approachable, and ensured that our needs were met promptly. Their friendliness and professionalism were definitely highlights of the visit.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff who made us feel right at home.

The ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and elegant, with soft lighting and contemporary décor that sets the mood for a relaxing dining experience. The menu offers a variety of dishes, each sounding better than the last, which made it incredibly hard to choose.

For starters, we tried the pepper baby corn, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully plated. The main course, however, was the highlight — I had the roti and paneer hyderabadi, which was perfectly cooked and had a rich, flavorful sauce that complemented the ingredients beautifully.

Never imagined I would fall in love with a simple drink as lemon soda. I had 2 glasses. It was that good.

What really stood out, though, was the service. The waitstaff were attentive but not overbearing, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations. They truly made the dining experience feel personal and memorable.

Tandoor is a well-known place among mangi's. After a long time i visited this place.

As you enter you notice the popularity of the place. Ample seating, family room, polite captains and good food. Chicken kabab - crispy from outside and moist from inside. Outer layer is marinated with mild flavours most of it chilli and mixed spices. I would rate it 6.5 / 10 Squid butter garlic - squid was fried with the flour batter. Batter was salty and squid had a kind of fishy smell. The white sauce on the other hand was made with butter and cheese, which was really good. But when they got them together it was not complimenting each other. It was a nice try but couldn't get that exact expected taste. I would rate it 5 / 10 Melugu chilli - I really loved this dish. It was piping hot and was just amazing. Fish was fresh and marinated perfectly. A perfect blend of soy sauce, green chillies, mixed spices along with diced onions and bell pepper. It's was kind of spicy but i love it. I would rate it 9 / 10

Service was good, captain was polite and handled well. overall good experience.
