Alright, it’s my mistake that I came to have lunch with my family even after reading few comments which will reflects in my experience as well. 1. Veg starters is a joke. Deep fried items, you can taste the stale oil on it. 2. Welcome drink have chilli so it’s depends if you like it or not. 3. Non veg starters are also oily items 4. Main course are very rich in crème or oil Which makes you feel heavy in first bite, most likely you will not go for second round. 5. Salads are sad 6. Papad are not crispy 7. Staffs keep forgetting the orders(table) 8. Chaat items are without salt, no taste 9. Dessert items are old and not of decent quality Overall for the amount you pay it’s not worth it. It’s 999 plus GST plus service charges. Ps: if you are reading my reviews, please take pledge to say no to plastics and stop littering our surroundings. Jai Hindustan, Jai Karnataka. 🙏

The food quality was satisfactory, but unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. I had to repeatedly ask for even basic things like water, and the older staff members were notably slow. The atmosphere was decent, but the prices were slightly on the higher side. Additionally, despite a 10% service charge being levied, the overall experience was marred by the expectation to leave a tip, which I eventually did for one person. The most uncomfortable part of the meal was having to request a change of plates due to an unpleasant egg smell. Considering all these issues, I cannot recommend this place if you value good service and hygiene. It's a shame because the property holds historical significance, and with some attention to detail, they could create a wonderful dining experience.

Royal Orchid Metropole offers a courtyard dining experience through its Tiger Trail restaurant that feels subdued and minimalist (in a good way) for the opulent charms of Mysuru. This is valid especially given the heritage building and hotel tag that Metropole carries. Reserve in advance for this is that sort of place. Given Mysuru's overall weather patterns through the year, you are likely to be here on a pleasant night without rain showers which can mess with the alfresco dining experience. The ambience is quiet and lovely with trees and shrubs around. Candles have been used tastefully. We had Tandoori and North Indian fare that was good for the most part. The menu is heavily inclined towards non-vegetarian items.

Horrible service. I went there with my family to celebrate a small event. Management is horrible. I called before arriving there and they said they are not taking reservations and there was only walk-in. Once I reached there, no one seemed to have any control over what was going on in the restaurant. One of the chefs and a manager told us that it is impossible to seat us. A few mins later another "manager" asked us to wait a few mins and that he would find us the first available table. There's absolutely no coordination amongst the staff. After about 30 mins we were given a seat and no one came to take the order for about 25 mins after that. It was already 10pm by then and I ordered all courses in one go because I lost faith that the staff would tend to us. The food came late and was just ordinary. Nothing great. They didn't even change the plates between courses. The waiters are more keen on closing up the restaurant than tending to the guests eating at their hotel. Then came the worst part - billing. They took over 30 mins to just prepare the bill. The waiters, management all seemed to settle in a small room doing God knows what. I had to stand by that room to pay them. Not one of the "managers" were bothered by this. The staff simply doesn't care. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is not customer -friendly. It is not worth the money either. There are many more nicer restaurants in Mysore. Please go anywhere...

Absolutely horrible place for many reasons: We ordered lime soda and lemon water and both had such a bad aftertaste either the soda was of bad quality or the lemon had gone bad...we even saw them mix water from a random water bottle into the lemon water after it was "ready" right before serving it we sent it back with the same reason but THEY STILL CHARGED US

-The service was terrible, we waited 30 whole minutes for someone to come take our order. We called them 3-4 times but they kept telling us to wait and tended to other customers who came after us

-The food portions are pathetic, we ordered a peshawari lamb for 600 it came with just 4 pieces of torn lamb..looked like they cut out from one piece of meat with a fork...as a family 5 we only got one small bite of meat each

-The ambience isnt great and it is very dull, it is misleading to call it a fine dining restaurant with small tables to barely keep the food

-we ordered butter chicken and it wasnt properly blended so the cashew froth gave a bad texture and after taste but still better than the rest of the food

-Totally they charged us 5400 for a pathetic meal. It was a huge regret and will never recommend the place to anyone with that money we could have gone to SPRING in Radisson Blu and had a buffet which is infinitely better ambiance,...

Date of visit: 14/10/2023

My experience: Tables and chairs arrangement: We were a group of 10 people and upon arrival we asked the staffs to arrange tables and chairs for us. They took close to ten minutes to make arrangements after repeated requests and even though some were standing idle.

Food: The taste of some dishes were satisfactory and some weren’t.

Service: 3.1 More prominence to foreigners than Indians by the staff. Foreigners pay the same amount of money just as we Indians do for the same dish. Why favourable treatment to them?

3.2 After ordering for Biriyani we waited for close to 45-50 minutes then reminded the staff about pending Biriyani. He had forgotten about that dish and asked for more time, so we had to cancel it.

4: Bill: In the menu it is mentioned food prices are inclusive of all taxes and charges. But the bill had service charges of 10%. Only upon questioning, the staff said service charge is voluntary. So didn’t pay service charge.

Suggestions: Staff needs to be alert and responsive. Equal treatment of customers, after all everyone pays the same amount for the same dish. Food needs to be bit more tasty. Billing transparency about...
