Town tables Restaurant — Restaurant in Karnataka

Only Restaurant in the area with a 4 plus rating and God I was so disappointed. After making our way to the 1st floor we found a table at the end of the room . Other tables were occupied by 3 huge groups. The table we had to occupy were dirty with leftover plates from the last client. Waited 15 mins to just have the table cleared. Another 15 mins for the waiter to take order who announced all mutton items were over and even chicken items which were boneless. Such a Huge Rating Restaurant didn't had their main items 😒😒😒 but then we reached the hotel at 8.45 and we were told as it was sunday so those items got over way back. I was ok with it. But they were out of Aloo Gobi or any Aloo items . Camon who gets over with Potato. The wait for the food was like forever. We got to know that it will take 20 mins for each order only when the waiter announced to nearby table of it . We ordered Rice, Daal Fry, Tandoori Naan, Chicken Mughlai and later Chicken Kolhapuri. We were shoked to realise that the oil floating item was not the chicken item but the daal fry. A 200 ml of daal had almost 120 ml of oil or more. It was a half of bowl of oil floating on the Daal. Removed it and then had the daal. Daal tasted good. Rice was clumpy. Roti were okaish and the chicken item was above average won't complaint about the taste . Chicken Kolhapuru was hilarious. A red thick gravy with chicken was passed off as Chicken Kolhapur . Me looked at my Marathi Friend and laughed at each other. We make better better Marathi dish at home. Taste was above average , indeed this dish could have been named anything and gathered accolade but definitely not a kolhapuri dish.

Service was pathetic . The two teen taking care of the first floor seemed irritated . One forgets each minute what was told to him but seeks forgiveness with his kind smile and other curses and kicks things around to let out the frustration. A request to give a bowl tool 10 minutes, salt asked at the beginning of the meal was served almost at the end.

So much bad experience for us but we saw huge group of people enjoying their food and left. We literally walked into a tired staff who really wanted to end the day and go home and Enjoy the Festival day on Monday.

If not for the Pathetic service food wud come off as above average to likely good food .

Our experience at Town Table had its ups and downs, but the food definitely left an impression. Here’s what we ordered:

Chicken Fried Rice - 5/5 Absolutely delicious! This dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked.

Biryani - 3/5 While it was decent, it didn’t stand out as much as the other dishes. There’s room for improvement here.

Tandoori Chicken - 5/5 This was another highlight! Juicy, well-marinated, and bursting with flavor.

Shawarma - 3.5/5 Good but not the best I’ve had. It had a nice flavor, but there are better options elsewhere.

One major downside was the wait time. We had to wait for about an hour for our food to arrive. A key tip: make sure to order everything at once, as they serve based on table priority, which means if you miss out on ordering together, you could end up waiting another hour for additional dishes.

This is the one of the worst restaurant I have visited in chikamagalur.. We ordered Chicken soup and biriyani and they gave soup after 15 min. And after having soup we were sitting and waiting for biriyani and after 15 min waiter came and said there is no biriyani. After waiting for a long time he came and said this. He told fried rice is available and we waited for fried rice again for almost 15 minutes. We almost lost patience and decided to walk out from restaurant. At the billing counter we came to know that rice got empty. Such a pathetic service. And also they didn't event clean the table even after I informing twice. Because of this we almost lost one hours and end up with having just one by tow soup.if I ask waiter where is the owner of this restaurant he just said no owner.
