My recent visit to BBQ Nation left me with mixed feelings, and unfortunately, I cannot give a glowing review for this dining experience. Our group, consisting of 26 people, had high expectations based on previous visits and the initial interactions with the customer care team. However, the reality fell far short of our expectations.
Firstly, the service was subpar. Our server seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, making it difficult for us to enjoy the dining experience. Requests for refills and additional items were often forgotten, leaving us with a sense of neglect.
The food, while acceptable, did not live up to the standards we have come to expect from BBQ Nation. The flavors were decent, but the overall quality was not remarkable. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that several items listed on the menu were not served to us, leaving us feeling shortchanged.
What exacerbated our dissatisfaction was the issue with the billing. Prior to our visit, we had reached an agreement on the pricing through the customer care team. However, upon receiving the bill, we were shocked to find that the amount was Rs 190 greater than what was agreed upon. This discrepancy was brought to the attention of the manager, who unfortunately proved unhelpful.
The manager was unresponsive to our concerns about the overpricing, and when we tried to reference the call records shared by the customer care executives during our initial agreement, they were dismissive and uncooperative. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to rectify the situation left a sour taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally.
In conclusion, while BBQ Nation may offer a decent dining experience on a normal day, our recent visit was marred by poor service, discrepancies in billing, and missing menu items. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this establishment based on our disappointing encounter. We hope that improvements are made to prevent similar experiences for...

Please train your staff with basic English atleast like A for Apple and B for Ball.
If you’re thinking of visiting Barbeque Nation for a satisfying meal, don’t bother. What I experienced was nothing short of a culinary nightmare. This place is a sinking ship — serving pathetic food, with rude, careless staff, and an atmosphere that screams "we’ve stopped trying."
Food – Tasteless, Reheated Garbage The so-called “live grill” is a joke. The starters were dry, flavorless, and clearly not fresh. Half-cooked meat, soggy vegetables, and the kind of seasoning that tastes like it was sprinkled by someone who hates their job. The main course was no better — cold, bland, and barely edible especially the biriyani. Even the desserts were sad, dried-out leftovers that should never see a buffet counter.
Service – Lazy, Clueless, and Insulting The service? An absolute disaster. Staff wandered around like they were being punished, ignoring tables, messing up orders, and acting as if customers were a burden. Refills were painfully slow, and half the menu items never even made it to our table. No apology, no explanation — just pure negligence. If this is their idea of hospitality, they’re in the wrong business.
Ambience – Dirty, Noisy, and Uninviting The place looked tired and unkempt. Tables were sticky, plates were dirty, and the noise level was unbearable. Nothing about the space made you want to sit and enjoy your meal — it felt more like a cheap food court pretending to be a restaurant.
Never Again Barbeque Nation has become a mockery of itself. Overpriced, overrated, and utterly incompetent — this place is living off its past reputation and fooling people into expecting a decent experience. If you value your money, time, or taste buds, stay far away.

Read moreOur team of 19 members visited Barbeque Nation, Kakkanad on October 9th for a team dinner. I was the one who recommended this outlet, but unfortunately, the overall experience turned out to be quite disappointing.
We had informed the staff in advance that there should not be any delays in serving, as a few team members had to return to the office early to catch their cabs. Although the staff assured us multiple times, nothing was handled as promised.
The service was poor and uncoordinated. Despite repeatedly asking for items — especially prawns — we were constantly told “it’s being cooked,” but it never arrived for a long time. The staff seemed to deliberately delay it, watching from a corner to see if we’d move to the main course. If prawns cannot be served promptly, it would be better to remove them from the menu rather than misleading guests.
Additionally, there was a mix-up at the live counter, where the dish I ordered was served to another table despite me pointing it out. The server ignored my request, though the person at the live counter noticed it and took the initiative to prepare and serve the dish again — which I truly appreciate.
The food quality was average, nothing exceptional to mention, but the service and overall experience fell far below expectations — especially for a large group booking.
I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their service quality and coordination. As for us, we will not be returning and will be advising other teams in our office to choose a better alternative for...
