Mustake is one of the newly opened multi cuisine restaurants which is located on Sea-Airport road, Kakkanad. It operates on the first floor of Noel Focuz Building . I had been to this place for 2 times with my friend and I must say its one of the best restaurants in Kakkanad. A perfect place for team outing and to dine with friends and family.
►Menu :
The menu was impressive and exhaustive both in variety and experimental in tastes and flavors. It offers delightful concoction of south Indian , North Indian, Tandoor & Barbecue, Starters, Chinese and the list goes on........
►Ambiance & Decor :
The place is immaculate. Its gives you a cozy feeling to dine with friends and family at night. The lighting is worth a mention! Catalyzed by the dim lights. It creates a great ambiance for you to enjoy a relaxed evening and makes Mustake worth a visit. Decor brings out the restaurant theme and seating is comfortable
►Service :
These guys were fantastic. The staff was friendly, service and hospitality was immaculate. It would be correct to say that it offers a uniquely delightful dining experience, prompt service and some delicious food, an experience worth revisiting. The staffs were also very knowledgeable to suggest the best dishes according to our tastes. They had an amazing in depth knowledge about the food served, and about combinations that would taste good together.
A very special mention to the Welcome Staffs who were there to greet us with a pleasant smile when we came there at night and stood near to us all the time. They were very attentive and it was a impeccable service that we had received from Mustake.
► What is Good Here @ Mustake
We started off our dinner with a welcome drink. There were 2 variants. One was the normal lime juice and other was a mango . Both were equally good like the normal drinks. The mango drink was served in a small tube like glass. Then I had tried their pomegranate mojito mocktail and it was okay.
I had tried their one of their signature dish Mustake Special Biriyani. It was really scrumptious and there was significant amount of quantity. Unlike the normal Malabar Biriyani it was not mixed up with the masala. The chicken contained was like that of a grilled one. The coin paratha even though it was very small but it tastes really good. Apart from this I had tried their Nasi Goreng, Mustake 65, Barbecue and Tandoori Chicken. All were equally scrumptious. I really enjoyed all the dishes that I had tried so far. I couldn't try their Bang bang beef as it is their another prominent dish. The ice cream was really luscious after its topped up with some rich ingredients.
I would recommend you try out their Barbecue, Mustake 65 and Mustake Special Biriyani as these are one of the signature dishes that you will get at Mustache
►COST:
The prices are on the higher side and will pinch your pocket.
►My Final Verdict:
I have been to this restaurant recently multiple times and I have tried different food on my each visit. The food quality, taste, service and presentation was really good which in fact makes me to visit again this place.
I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly to all gourmands and connoisseur to try out...
Read moreBest be careful there and make sure the staff know what you ordered. First of all, the food & ambiance was very good, a bit overpriced though. Service was a very bad experience. Ordered “Beef Burritos”, got “Wheet Porotta” along with the chicken steak. I feel the staff doesn’t have much idea about what's on the menu and what is not. To explain further, we ordered Chicken Steak and some other burger/sandwich - which I don't remember what was called. After 10 mins, said that the second item is not available. I ordered “Beef Burritos” after checking the menu. But what I got was Chicken steak and Wheat Porotta. I was actually surprised to see Wheat porotta with Steak, but my partner had it anyways think it was “Mustake” variety. But the “Beef Burritos” never came. When I asked, they said like it will be ready soon. Then we ordered a couple of Sundaes since my partner had finished her food. 5 mins later, the waiter came and said Sundaes are not available. Then we ordered a couple of shakes and enquired about “Beef burritos”, which the waiter said is in preparation. Then we got the shakes and I asked them again. Then she was confused and asked another waiter to come, then only I came to know that they had placed an order for Wheet porotta in for Burritos and said that they don't have Beef Burritos in their menu. I took their menu and showed him. He was surprised and went to his computer only to come again saying that it's not available. I had spent around 45-50 minutes and only came to know in the last minutes that they managed to order the wrong item. Never...
Read moreI have visited Mustake a couple of times and this last visit is when I thought I should review it. Visibility of the restaurant is quite good and parking has been decent. However I am not a fan of the relatively tight parking arrangement and the narrow pathway out of the building. Also the guard at the exit can give confusing signs quite often. Not a deal breaker but can be a bother. The ambience is good - it's warm, a bit dark and in some ways minimalist. I would have liked a better view of the kitchen, more space and uniform air conditioning (some spots don't seem to be covered by the air conditioning). Its most difficult rating the food. I give the restaurant full marks for trying to deliver a wide and interesting range. However, I have always felt the dishes failing in one category. For example the fish will be grilled properly but the flavouring will be 'off'. The steak will be made exactly as you want but it just tastes plain. This single factor pulls down the restaurants rating. Add to this relatively high rates and the ratings go down even more. I would recommend this place for a meal but w.r.t. the food it's a big (and...
