Not a customer but just sharing a horrible experience I had from the Manager of this cafe. My friend and I had travelled more than 8 hours to get to Varkala and this was our first time there. It was very late by the time we reached the railway station and we had bought food from there before going to the cliff.

We had no place to eat the food (we had not booked a hotel yet) and was looking for some place where we could.

Unfortunately, this woman’s cafe had sort of an extension outside the main cafe which looked like abandoned corner which had a worn out table. It was pretty dark and we couldn’t tell it was part of the cafe.

As we stood beside the table we heard a woman yelling at us. She told us to get out in the most uncultured tone humanly possible. She asked us to go get a room if we wanted to do “the deed” and threatened to call the police. Also started calling for “help” from her neighbors to throw us out of their place. Quite unsurprisingly, the neighbors didn’t gaf and were quite understanding when we told them our situation.

In no way are we justifying trespassing into anyone’s property though it was unbeknownst to us. A simple “this is a private property” or “you can’t be here” would have sufficed. But the uncultured condescending attitude of this woman is what made me write this review. Other reviews as I now understand confirm the horrible behaviour of this woman.

Avoid the cafe at any cost for a peaceful...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bindu's Cafe in Varkala, Kerala, and I have to say it was an absolutely amazing experience. Everything from the stunning view to the great vibe and exceptional coffee made this cafe stand out as a true gem.

First and foremost, the view from Bindu's Cafe is absolutely breathtaking. It overlooks the gorgeous Varkala Beach, and the views of the sea and cliffs are truly stunning. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, and it's the perfect place to unwind and relax while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Speaking of coffee, the quality of the coffee at Bindu's Cafe is exceptional. The beans are sourced from some of the best coffee growing regions in India, and the baristas are highly skilled and knowledgeable. Whether you prefer a latte, cappuccino, or espresso, you can rest assured that your coffee will be expertly crafted and delicious.

In addition to the amazing coffee and view, the vibe is simply unbeatable. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're looking to catch up with friends, read a book, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the stunning view, Bindu's Cafe is the perfect place to do it.

Overall, I would highly recommend Bindu's Cafe to anyone looking for a top-notch coffee shop with a great view and vibe. It's truly a hidden gem in Varkala, Kerala, and I can't wait to go back and visit again. Five...

Visited this cafe in the afternoon and their first response was it’s closed then they let us in and then didn’t even let us settle to decide something to order and started pestering us for order. And whatever we asked for they didn’t have it, so by the time we think to order something which they’ve they are like first order then sit..!! I mean how rude can someone be to the customer who came to your cafe to eat and chill, at least be considerate that someone has just walked in this hot scorching hot sun to catch their breath and cold coffee.. let them sit and decide! Rude… can’t recommended cuz I didn’t try anything….!

There’s some add on to above: Inspite the afternoon ordeal we again visited in the noon because a friend in our group was really keen to try their coffee so we thought ok let’s go and see if the food and services are at good at the wee hours of business then I’ll correct the review.

But to my surprise they denied us services instead hopping on to the opportunity to correct their mistake and get the review edited…

Bad...

Bindu's Café is perched near the end of a cliff overlooking a stunning black sand beach. The breathtaking location of this restaurant alone is enough to make you stop in your tracks. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the restaurant's outdoor seating area. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the crashing waves and the mesmerizing sunset. When it came to the menu, Bindu's Café primarily focuses on different beverage options. We were initially hoping for a diverse range of food items. We decided to try something called "Coconut Chocolate Shake." It didn't quite live up to the anticipation. The shake was essentially a regular chocolate shake with an abundance of crushed ice. One thing worth noting is the quantity of the shake, which was quite substantial. It was more than enough to quench our thirst. If you're looking for a spot to relax, savor some beverages, and be captivated by the beauty of the surroundings, Bindu's Café is well worth a visit.

Just reach the location. Absorb all of the scenic beauty around you. When you're done, go inside and take a glance at the menu card. Now biting down your teeth to control that dropped jaw of yours, take a look at that sleek an regal coffee machine that you might've seen at a Starbucks but has no good reason to be mounted on the wall of a small coffee shop in Varkala. Now you know Bindu Chechi doesn't play around when it comes to her art. Ex-Barista at a 5 star hotel in Varkala, now a local Goddess for way too many people here. Choose a good looking drink and Chechi will explain and customize it for you. While you wait, go out and talk to the people. It's the congregation point for all the best minds of Varkala right now. In a few minutes you'll have a tasty beverage in your hand, you'll be in good company, maybe some good music, and you will be a bit closer to the peace you seek.

Bindu’s Café is one of those hidden gems in Varkala that gives you the feel of a homely coastal café. The food is freshly prepared – from Kerala-style breakfast to seafood specials – and you can actually taste that everything is cooked with care. Their masala chai and fresh juices are a highlight, especially after a beach walk. The café has a laid-back vibe, simple seating, and friendly hosts who make you feel at home. Prices are reasonable compared to the touristy spots nearby, and the portions are generous. If you want authentic flavors and warm hospitality away from the crowded beachfront restaurants, Bindu’s Café is worth a stop.
