Not a customer but just sharing a horrible experience I had from the Manager of this cafe. My friend and I had travelled more than 8 hours to get to Varkala and this was our first time there. It was very late by the time we reached the railway station and we had bought food from there before going to the cliff.
We had no place to eat the food (we had not booked a hotel yet) and was looking for some place where we could.
Unfortunately, this woman’s cafe had sort of an extension outside the main cafe which looked like abandoned corner which had a worn out table. It was pretty dark and we couldn’t tell it was part of the cafe.
As we stood beside the table we heard a woman yelling at us. She told us to get out in the most uncultured tone humanly possible. She asked us to go get a room if we wanted to do “the deed” and threatened to call the police. Also started calling for “help” from her neighbors to throw us out of their place. Quite unsurprisingly, the neighbors didn’t gaf and were quite understanding when we told them our situation.
In no way are we justifying trespassing into anyone’s property though it was unbeknownst to us. A simple “this is a private property” or “you can’t be here” would have sufficed. But the uncultured condescending attitude of this woman is what made me write this review. Other reviews as I now understand confirm the horrible behaviour of this woman.

Read moreVisited this cafe in the afternoon and their first response was it’s closed then they let us in and then didn’t even let us settle to decide something to order and started pestering us for order. And whatever we asked for they didn’t have it, so by the time we think to order something which they’ve they are like first order then sit..!! I mean how rude can someone be to the customer who came to your cafe to eat and chill, at least be considerate that someone has just walked in this hot scorching hot sun to catch their breath and cold coffee.. let them sit and decide! Rude… can’t recommended cuz I didn’t try anything….!
There’s some add on to above: Inspite the afternoon ordeal we again visited in the noon because a friend in our group was really keen to try their coffee so we thought ok let’s go and see if the food and services are at good at the wee hours of business then I’ll correct the review.
But to my surprise they denied us services instead hopping on to the opportunity to correct their mistake and get the review edited…
