I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming little place that truly captures the essence of local cuisine. The small size of the cafe adds to its cozy and intimate atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for an authentic culinary experience. however ambience is ok The menu is a testament to the rich flavors of the region, featuring staples like idli, appam, and kandala curry. The idli was perfectly soft and paired wonderfully with a variety of chutneys, while the appam had a delightful crispness on the outside and a soft, fluffy center. The star of the show, however, was the kandala curry. The robust, aromatic curry was a revelation, with just the right balance of spices to tantalize the taste buds. The cafe's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients is evident in every bite, and it's clear that they take pride in showcasing the true flavors of the area. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall delightful experience. While the cafe may be small in size, it's big on flavor and authenticity. If you're a fan of local South Indian cuisine, this hidden gem is a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of their delicious offerings.

As usual te coffe shop but this one is located on a tourist place and that's what make it outstanding. Not very expencive tea coffe i mean its far better price than the fancy cliff restorents. They serve lunch also with fish fry but sold out really fast. Food items like porotta, chapoathyb, dosha, beef chicken everything is available all day long. And its a supermarket too. Almost every kind of cigarettes, snacks you get from here. Parkinis non issue its a big space here for that. Food is not too Fancy but tasty and normal. Chicken perat was yummy♥

This place definitely deserves 5 stars for what it is and the quality/price value of the food! I had a humble keralan lunch of masala dosa and 1lt water bottle and it came up to 90 rupees! It is a place for locals and very tourist friendly. Crunchy tasty dosa with flavoursome coriander, onion and turmeric potatoes filling and the side curries were super tasty! Come and try it!! I have to go back to try the keralan thali they serve at lunch time.

If you want to try local cuisine , come here I had a pretty bad tasting briyani at a different place which made me skeptical about ordering any rice dishes but the briyani in Juicy cafe was amazing 😍. The owner was so nice he gave extra masala since we liked it spicy. The service is amazing and you can feel that they genuinely want you to have a good experience.

Dishes I tried and loved it here Parotta chicken curry Chicken briyani Idiyappam Egg dosa and ghee roast with chutney

Feedback Could improve the thickness of their tea. Vada wasnt hot or crispy - I think it's the time issue since they get it prepared early morning. I went at 10ish so this one could be an timing issue.

A reliable friendly local cuisine that is affordable in Varkala...

As expected, it is a basic restaurant. There was no menu - which usually is a tell tell sign that you're gonna get ripped off... but we stayed due to the reviews re the local cuisine.

Ordered a masala dosa and parotta...though was hurried into ordering a chicken curry.

Dosa was delicious and contained a lot of filling and nice accompaniments.

Parotta was nice, too.

Chicken curry - curry tasted nice though there was more bone than chicken.

We had 2 x Watermelon juices, which were ok.

Service was hurried though food came quick, so that's a bonus.

Price: Rs 330 (Rs 240 is what you would pay for a meal including juices at a basic restaurant (i.e., the outstanding Thiramala Home Food (MUST VISIT!)), so I'd say we...
