Located amidst the busy yet stunning coastal beauty of Varkala, Kerala, lies this gem that takes your taste buds on an enchanting culinary journey. This charming Tibetan restaurant has stolen our heart with its authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and impeccable service.

The ambiance is somewhat decent just like most of the shacks except this one is perched on a cliff, offering a stunning view of the sea below.

The momos here are a true revelation. Steamed to perfection, the delicate dumplings are bare basic in stuffing but each bite of the succulent filling leaves you craving for more. Paired with the accompanying tangy-garlicy-chilli dipping sauce, these momos are a heavenly treat. Served with a bowl of refreshing hot broth.

The noodles and starters are a delight too, a la street style Indo-Chinese food. Generously tossed with vibrant crunchy vegetables and aromatic spices. The flavors are well-balanced.

That's not all, they even make good rotis, gravies and tandoori sea food. Tandoori prawns were fresh and the mint chutney was yum!

To complement the tantalizing dishes, the restaurant offers a small selection of beers and cocktails. The chilled brews come at a premium and perfectly complement the spicy notes and the warm weather, while the cocktails are boozy yet refreshing.

The warm and welcoming staff are more than willing to guide you through the menu, suggesting the perfect pairing for your palate.

Get this,

Monday morning and a meeting which has been postponed for the utmost time. Not that am complaining, but somedays, my manager does wave the hiring PRE-requisites in my face. Hang on, do I see the absolute truth in the set breakfast ordered at @littletibet???OK, gotta ping more scheduled sends for mails and am about to take this downtown!! Omelette and breakfast set the palate just right for gearing my day's pitch sales whilst I work from the workstation set by the grateful hosts- Badal and team, ever assuring me repeats of coffee or the beverage that may have also be starting with C. Not that my see-offs are slurred as their cheese omelettes are. But God save me, their wholesome meals and never ending friendly approach, just landed my happy stomach into heaven and boy, am I just buttered enough to butter the socks off of my client's projects??!

Try it. Not that you will not just lose the many good ways of food that may somehow just be too criminal to be prepared this well. Dishes binged through my stay includes- Grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, tandoori fried fish tikka, chicken momos, chinese fried rice, chicken biryani, paneer pakoda, cheese/masala cheese omelette, bread omelette, nutella pancake, chicken thukpa, lemon rice, iced lemon soda, watermelon mule, and coco loco.

Thank you...

We first visited Little Tibet for lunch and were so thoroughly impressed that we ended up returning three more times. The food is simply incredible, and we found ourselves craving their classic comfort dishes. Their momos are exceptionally delicious, and we absolutely loved the piping hot dal fry, perfectly steamed rice, and freshly made chapatis. Everything tasted so fresh and was prepared with such care that I felt completely comfortable giving the food to my kid—a testament to its quality. The experience is more than just the food. The restaurant offers a spectacular view that truly enhances your meal, and the entire space is spotless. What really stood out was the staff; they are incredibly active, supportive, and attentive, making you feel right at home. With generous portion sizes and very reasonable prices, Little Tibet offers incredible value for money. It's a must-visit that truly delivers on...

One very non smiling nd extremely slow waiter to take order, bring food, clean table!! Even to a 2 year old he wudnt smile ..some people sit as if they are in Starbucks..with books and no food in front..they won't leave wich is a non issue for the staff even tho a lot of customers are returning coz they r no tables..brace urselves if u are an Indian coz u get the least attention, last serving nd u def don't get any smiles..food portion is way less for the price..for biriyani raita was not given to our table..wen asked they said u need to order more for tat..well tat didn't apply for the foreigner at the next table.. Ter was a cat lurking near us..don't know how hygenic tat is.. Found more than 5 cardamom in a small bowl of biriyani..hence the cost mayb Ps. Go here if u r having a fabulous day nd wana balance it out wit rude people and bad food..

We went there for lunch and dinner. Lunch crowd was small and our food came within 30min of waiting. We had momos, thukpa and fried noodles which were tasty (lots of MSG!) but overall relatively pricey. Dinner - waiting time was very long (approx 1h) and service was sub standard. We received most of our dishes after customers came to the restaurant after us and we had to chase the kitchen staff a few times. On top of that the restaurant boss allowed a large group of buskers into the restaurant who very jaringly cheered and shouted some tunes at customers, shaking a bottles of notes and coins in our faces, asking for money. It was a very unpleasant and distasteful atmosphere for most customers based on their reactions.
