Very very very bad western food. We didn’t try the Indian food so I cannot judge that part but we took seafood noodles, tbh the seafood didn’t taste fresh at all; noodles had no taste. (Got it packed and gave it to dogs and they rejected it too) It was so horrible I ordered then veg pasta cause I didn’t trust the non-veg freshness. It was equally bad, no taste, not fresh mushrooms, overcooked pastas. My husband took fries and chicken cordon bleu, what he got wasn’t a cordon bleu but actually a Milanese escalope (crusty chicken piece) if we can call it like that. The fries were horrible, dry and hard like if they had been fried the day before, couldn’t eat them. So first, the labeling of their dishes is non-sense, calling a cordon bleu what is not a cordon bleu, (cordon bleu is a French dish, a chicken escalope enrobing a ham and cheese layer), calling shashuka (what is supposed to be eggs cooked in tomato gravy) but it is in fact it is described as hummus, calling boscaiola pastas (what is supposed to be pasta sauce with green beens, ham and mushrooms) but serving tomato and mushrooms. This is a very bad quality of food at least for the western options. If you put something on your menu the bare minimum is to know what is the actual dish and serve something that could actually be called like that. Though, the restaurant terrace is attractive with sea view and nice decoration, but wrap paper is less important that what’s inside so please reach the expectation that you give also with the food you serve. On top of that bad food, clearly the waiter pushed for us to give a tip, being unhappy that we didn’t leave something, well sorry but we had 3 different people serving us, each time we had to ask to order something because even if they were many, they seems badly organised.
P.S- I rarely put bad reviews but avoid this place...
Read moreVery disappointing experience! I start with the good things: Nice View Good choice of food
Unfortunately, that's already it. Now what we didn't like:
The food: Oh my god, how can you literally screw up everything?! The "Cesar salad" was a joke. I would have never identified that mass of cheese and dressing as a Cesar salad. Please check out some recipes on how to actually prepare this salad. It's not hard!! The seafood sizzler was served covered in a brown sauce (very unusual for seafood) and the fish was almost tasteless, I could only taste the sauce. It tasted to me like they are using the same sauce for seafood and chicken sizzler (if true, this is an affront to every guests pallet) The grilled chicken was boney and also didn't taste like much (we gave almost half of it to a stray cat) The steamed momos arrived late (see below) and weren't good at all (this one could just be personal taste, though) The "chocolate cream" cake was very(!) dry
Service: The steamed momos arrived 30 minutes late and even though they had some go out earlier, they decided to bring this to the next table to have their meal complete in time and they even asked us twice during this time if our momos had arrived or not We paid more than 2000 INR for our Dinner and this was a) not worth it at all and b) they are still (low-key) pestering you for a tip, asking three times if you don't want to give something more (I guess because we are foreigners - don't believe they would have this attitude towards locals)
Atmosphere: not the fault of the restaurant but the constant street vendors with their instruments are very annoying because they just stop and stare at you while you eat
Overall it's two stars from me with only the ambiente/location generating the second star. Food is completely sub-par and overpriced. Better...
Read moreAbba is a hidden gem that truly delivers on all fronts—food, ambience, and service. My recent visit was nothing short of delightful, and I can't wait to go back.
The food was simply spectacular. The momos were a standout dish, perfectly steamed with a juicy filling and paired with a tangy, spicy dipping sauce that left us wanting more. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right, with every bite melting in our mouths. The pasta was equally impressive, with a creamy, rich sauce that had just the right balance of flavors. The quality and attention to detail in every dish were evident and much appreciated.
The ambience at Abba is warm and inviting. Whether you're there for a cozy meal with friends or a quiet dinner, the atmosphere feels just right. The decor is modern yet understated, creating a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer.
What truly set Abba apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and ensured we were comfortable throughout our meal.
To top it all off, the restaurant offered us a discounted price at the end of our meal—a pleasant surprise that made the experience even better. It's not often you come across a place that combines amazing food, great service, and thoughtful gestures like this.
Abba has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite restaurants. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this...
