One of the newest biriyanis of Kozhikkode but still an amazing biriyanis at Kozhikkode. This was our first food destination in our Kozhikkode trip. We have tried, chicken biriyani, beef biriyani, ghee rice, beef stew and beef guntur. All of these items were so amazing and lipsmacking. Chicken biriyani was having the taste of dum in every grain of rice and taste of the masala was on point. The chicken in the biriyani was cooked to perfection and was very tender. Rice to Masala qauntity was awesome and was very perfect. Moving on to beef, it is topped at all beef biriyanis which i had so far, the qaulity of the beef was very nice super tender and very soft as in chicken chicken rice have a great flavour and rice to masala proportion was great. There was no over powering of spices in biriyanis which made the biriyani taste heavenly. Moving on the the Ghee rice as like biriyanis it was so aromatic and delicious and Beef stew served with it had different flavour from usual beef stew and was less spicy. It webt with ghee rice so well. It is a good option for those dont like spicy food. Moving on to the last, but not the least. Beef Guntur, the most spiciest and amazingly delicious among sides. The masala of beef guntur was very different and flavour was a stand out flavour. There were a lot of dried chillies in it. Eventhough it was spicy the flavour of the curry was well balanced as none of the ingredients or spices was over powering. As i was a spicy food lover i liked beef guntur with ghee rice than beef stew. All the items we had was very delicious, aromatic and was great in their quantities as well. The Price for all the items was reasonable and price to quantity proportion was great. Parking will be mess as this is situated on side of a narrow road, but there is a pay and park option nearby. All together a wonderful experience.

Read moreA Legendary Delight: Chicken Dum Biryani from Kuttichira Biriyani Centre, Kozhikode
Rating: 5/5
I'm still reeling from the unforgettable experience of devouring the Chicken Dum Biryani from Kuttichira Biriyani Centre in Kozhikode. This unassuming eatery, tucked away in the heart of the city, serves up a culinary masterpiece that will leave even the most discerning biryani connoisseurs weak in the knees.
The first whiff of the biryani was intoxicating – a heady mix of aromatic spices, basmati rice, and the unmistakable scent of slow-cooked chicken. The first bite was nothing short of magical, with each grain of rice perfectly cooked, fluffy, and separate.
The chicken, cooked to perfection in a rich, flavorful broth, simply melted in my mouth. The spices – a masterful blend of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and star anise – added a depth and complexity to the dish that was nothing short of remarkable.
What truly sets Kuttichira Biriyani Centre apart is the care and attention that goes into preparing each and every serving. You can taste the love, the passion, and the dedication to the craft in every bite.
The service was warm and welcoming, with the staff eager to share stories about the eatery's history and the secrets behind their legendary biryani.
In short, the Chicken Dum Biryani from Kuttichira Biriyani Centre is an absolute must-try for anyone who loves good food. It's a dish that will leave you craving for more, and I, for one, cannot wait to go back and indulge in another plate of this heavenly biryani.

Read moreKuttichira Biriyani Centre (KBC) has got a lot of attention, but my experience was somewhat underwhelming. The restaurant is a small, crowded space with tables packed closely together, making it uncomfortable during peak hours. The lack of proper air conditioning further adds to the discomfort, especially on hot days. I tried the beef biryani, which was just okay—definitely not deserving of the hype it receives on everyday lacks consistency. On the bright side, the beef was tender, and the pickle served alongside was superb. I also tried the ghee rice with beef stew, which I found better than the biryani. The beef stew had a pleasant flavor and made for a nice combination with the ghee rice. One of the main issues with KBC is its inconsistency. While sometimes i got very good biryani, Sometimes i found it strictly average. The limited menu made me expect a more focused and refined culinary experience, but the chicken biryanis fell short. On top of that, I have noticed some hygiene concerns. Overall, KBC's biryani is decent, but the inconsistency in food quality, the cramped and uncomfortable dining space, and hygiene issues make it hard to fully recommend. If you are in the area, it might be worth trying, but don't go in with high...
