Tonico Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

My father and I visited this place at on 24/04/2025 at around 2.30pm.

We were tired and hungry after doing house shifting work so we decided to come to this nearby cafe.

Initially we sat inside the cafe but due to the loud music, within a few minutes, I started to develop a migraine. Please note that the sound was so loud, that I could barely hear what my father was talking to me.

I went to the main staff and kindly asked them to reduce the volume of the music but they said that it not possible because people talk loudly and they need to keep the music loud to ensure privacy. I told them that the loud beats were giving me a migraine, but instead of sympathizing with a health condition, I was forced to sit outside the cafe on their patio. Music was still played via speakers outside but it was comparatively tolerable.

We wanted to run away from here and find another cafe, but we were too hungry and tired so we decided to order burgers and a shake.

As soon as the food arrived, so did numerous houseflies and other pests. We could not eat the food properly because every second was spent having to swat away the flies. They went inside the food, went inside the sauce bottle, inside the straw of my shake, etc.

Now, coming to the food, oh my god. TERRIBLE! After suffering all this, had the food been delicious, any human would be able to forgive the rest. But the food was bland, unhygienic and the ingredients used were of inferior quality.

The service was also bad, just like the food and the ambience.

I do not understand how this cafe got such high ratings on Google, and I was fooled by it. If you have read till here, let me save you a trip to this Tonico cafe. Please find some other place and save your money, because this place is expensive as well. Instead, I felt that they should give money to the customers for having to suffer their sadistic service, food and ambience. I hope this place either shuts down or makes the necessary...
