Ovenly — Restaurant in Kerala

recently visited Ovenly restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram and had a great experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was excellent.

I started my meal with the chicken cutlet, which was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious sauce. The cold chicken sandwich was also very good, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. For dessert, I had the chocolate coffee cake, which was moist and flavorful. The ambiance at Ovenly is relaxed and inviting. The restaurant is decorated in a modern style with plenty of natural light. There is also a small outdoor seating area, which is perfect for a meal on a sunny day. The service at Ovenly was attentive and friendly. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. He also made sure that our drinks were always topped up. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Ovenly. The food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Thiruvananthapuram. Chicken cutlet: The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and not too heavy. Cold chicken sandwich: The chicken was again cooked perfectly, and the bread was soft and fresh. The vegetables in the sandwich were also fresh and crisp. Chocolate coffee cake: The cake was moist and flavorful, with a rich chocolate flavor. The coffee cake was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was the perfect complement. I would definitely recommend the chicken cutlet, cold chicken sandwich, and chocolate coffee cake to anyone visiting...

We have been dreading coming to Ovenly for the past few times now. However with lack of options, we kept coming back hoping for a miracle. First it was the nauseating deep cleaning session that they had, with customers having food at the time. It made us question about their regular hygiene routine. Plus it would have been so much better if it was done in closed quarters. Secondly, sandwiches are horrible. Mayo soaked flavourless filling regardless of the variant. Thirdly, nobody seems to care. Ovenly lets people in for a long time, so it is good place to hangout or talk for many and for that reason there’s several customers who look beyond everything else and visit Ovenly. But any place that serve food should have food quality as their top priority and focus in my opinion. They don’t even serve something as simple as normal chai. Today, what finally forced me to write the review was when they served store bought “half cooked chapathi” and “half cooked kerala Parotta”, which the waiter confirmed too and offered to serve appam instead. It was hopelessly bad. But when something is so stale, yucky and flavourless; why is the management waiting for somebody to complain?! These things shouldn’t be even on the menu. Please take the time to print out new menu of items that are only freshly made in the kitchen. Most recipes need a quality check. At the end of the day, taste and quality matters. Kindly don’t make the customers suffer. It would be better to choose whatever you are good at and be it, rather than offering to serve everything. And to be honest, the only best thing about the place is the Valet Chetan in...

Horrible experience. Humiliated by the waiter... Best part is more to the end. Please go through the negative comments and u will see the same happens always. Try to improve or ur business will shutdown soon 👍. We 4 of us reached the restaurant at 8.15pm. The music was so loud. We didn't complaint and moved outside to another table which was quiet. We ordered starters and main course. The food received was very late and we were ok with it. But the chapathi and the parotta was readymade (halfcooked) which is available in the bakery. They just heated and served it. The roasted chicken was very dry and the smell of chicken was horrible🤢🤮. And we ordered somemore items. The waiter just looked at the watch and said u can't order after 9.30pm. It was 9.15 only. And he bought the item and said u cannot order anymore. He sounded very arrogant. He was yelling at us actually. When a waiter says that u cant order anymore its pathetic. Very much disappointed by the waiters behaviour. 😡🤬.. If u cant serve it after 9.30 u should mention the customers while they come after 8pm. And the chef should seriously search for some other job not just heat the half cooked bread items and serve it...
