They use the same masala (ingredients) for their Masala Dosa, Cheese Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa etc and even in the Bhaji curry that they provide with Puri. This is despite the fact that they are priced differently, some at higher rates. Lol! You get fooled when you get fancied by names such as Mysore Masala Dosa and order one hoping that it will be something different. I am telling you this thing truly because I have tried all these foods that they offer in their menu. Once, I ordered Cheese Masala Dosa via Potafo from this restaurant and what they gave me was the one without a single cheese on it. When mentioned this after calling them, they provided a refund of Rs. 30, going by the fact that I am OK (as I told) with Masala Dosa and it costs 30 rupees lower than the Cheese Masala Dosa. What if I didn't complain? They will take that extra 30 rupees and put it in their pocket. I don't think their intention is to loot by using such cheap techniques, but if it's what they want, then that's a problematic thing. It's still possible to run the restaurant without such naming gimmicks. What loss will you have if you remove the items that you can't cater and instead, focus on items you can. A customer who ordered Masala Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa both will never visit your restaurant as they will feel cheated about different pricing and sameness of both items. Even though the table which we occupied had ample air circulation from the fan right above, even that couldn't avoid the flies. Each of us were using the left hand to shoe away the flies but couldn't succeed in that fully. Spoke to the manager reg the same later and he smiled and then casually asked a waiter whether there are flies here and again smiled. Obviously he was making fun of the conversation we had and we have asked him whats the point in asking some one when you can easily see the flies by yourself if you just look around. And the gentleman again smiled... Such a nasty fellow feeding dirty food to the people by charging money.
The podi roast dosa we had contained too much of dry chilly powder which could be just flown away. Waited 30 minutes to get basic/ordinary item Poori which wasn't tasted good as well.
Suggestion : If you still dare to go and eat from this place due to lack of time to try other hotels etc, just sit and watch for flies once. We advise to order just a single dish and when it comes to your table, pls check for flies again. Finish that item and if flies have not come to your plate, you are lucky and then can order more , if you feel good reg the taste. Read morel had a very unpleasant experience during my visit to pure south veg restaurant ,mainly due to poor customer service and lack of professionalism from both the service staff and the accounts department.
I had placed an order, and when it was ready, the waiter simply placed it at a distance without informing me that it was mine. I waited for quite some time, thinking the food was still being prepared. Only when I asked about the delay did they casually mention that my order was already ready – and then blamed me for not collecting it on time.
I tried to explain that no one informed me it was ready. But instead of understanding the situation, the person at the accounts counter insisted that the waiter had already told me – which was not true. They even said maybe I didn’t understand because the waiter spoke in Hindi. This was not only incorrect but also an unacceptable excuse. No one communicated with me at all.
Rather than resolving the matter politely, the staff behaved rudely and acted like it was entirely my fault. This lack of basic customer service and accountability is extremely disappointing.
I hope the management looks into this and trains their staff to communicate clearly and treat guests with more respect. Based on this experience, I will not be recommending this...
