Rating: 2/5 I'm extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Hotel Classic in Alappuzha, especially after having a great experience with friends previously. This time, I was let down by the quality of food. We ordered 4 duck roasts, but unfortunately, the dish was predominantly gravy with very few duck pieces. It was challenging to find any substantial meat, which was frustrating. Considering Hotel Classic's reputation, I expected better. As a customer, it's disheartening to feel that quality control was lacking. Suggestions for Improvement: Ensure adequate meat portions in dishes. Maintain consistency in food quality. Previous Experience: 5/5 (great time with friends) Current Experience: 2/5 (disappointing food quality) I hope Hotel Classic takes customer feedback seriously and improves their offerings.

"Delicious meal at Classic in Alappuzha!
We visited Classic with 2 friends and had an amazing dining experience! The highlight of our meal was the mouth-watering duck roast - it was super tasty and cooked to perfection! The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff attending to our needs.
Highly recommend Classic for a satisfying meal in Alappuzha. The duck roast is a must-try!

Read moreWe stayed at hotel for two nights and had the buffet breakfast and late lunch at the restaurant.
The lunch on both days exceeded our expectations. Paneer butter masala, Palak paneer, dal fry, Malai Kofta were so delicious! And we loved the fresh juices: cucumber with lemon, orange, pomegranate.
The service was excellent. Anu (Ananda Lakshmi) was checking periodically to see if we are happy.
The breakfast was another story. The breakfast buffet was very basic. The idly, sambar, potato curry, dosa (utappam) and puri. That's all for the vegetarians. I understand, that it a typical South Indian breakfast, however the taste was... tasteless. The food should be marked as veg or non-veg, but the proper labels were missing. I had to ask every time: "is it veg or non-veg?" "is it eggless or contains eggs?"
The fruit salad didn't have the inviting look, and the fruit juices (watermelon & grape) were overloaded with the sugar. Coffee was only instant.
There is a coffee shop in the lobby but it opens at 3pm. Majority of people prefer to have their coffee in the morning, not at 3 pm. Guys, open the coffee shop in the morning, you are losing so many customers!

Read moreThis restaurant / hotel can be a prime example of everything horrible for Indian tourists.
While the hotel by itself is centrally located near the Alleppey beach, their moto seems to be bend over backwards to placate to the western tourists.
We visited this place late at night and did not know about other options we entered by looking at its shiny exterior to assume that the paying customer would be accorded due respect.
Firstly, they did not allow us into Rasoi restaurant as it was filled with non-Indians. They almost shoved us away in a smaller restaurant on the ground floor.
The food took close to an hour to be served. The food by itself was good but the service meted out to us left a very poor taste.
While we were eating, they ushered their beloved Non-Indian guests to an exclusive enclosure right in front of us.
If it wasn't late at night and we weren't traveling with kids, we would have walked out without a second thought.
We only realised later the next day that there are other upmarket restaurants and hotels available in Alleppey and those places do care about the customers and treat them well.
Would never come back and would not recommend anyone to...
