Right at the outset, I would appreciate the guys behind Zamzam for choosing this location to open their new branch. Nestled right between the Infosys and UST Global campuses on one side and many big name Apartment complexes including Heera, SFS Cyberpalms, etc. the very spot of the restaurant itself guarantees it good business.
For people who have been in Trivandrum for about 8-12 years, Zamzam is synonymous with delicious Arabic food, economically unbeatable combos and the sheer variety of juices, shakes and sundaes they offer..
Heard from a work friend that Zamzam has started with a soft launch about one week back. And being right on the way I drive by everyday to reach home, thought of visiting their new outlet and experience it for myself.
Note the restaurant hasn't opened fully and the upper floor is still being renovated. Accordingly, not all the items on their menu are currently available. I would suggest to check with the Servers what's available rather than depending on the menu alone. I was told the restaurant should be fully functional in a couple of weeks. This phase is what i would call an ORT(operational readiness testing :) )
Reached the restaurant around 3-ish on Jan 2nd(just after New year). The place has ample parking and also being on the side of the NH, parking is certainly not an issue. At first look, the entire buidling is quite wide and expansive even though it has only 2 floors at the moment.
Entering the restauarant, most of the tables were taken by single diners and big groups numbering about 20-30. That's always a good sign :)
Found a table to one side and a Captain graciously led me there. What stuck me as I looked around was the sheer efficiency in which things were moving forward. Diners taking their seats, Captains coming to take their orders, the speed at which the dishes arrive, the cleaning of the tables once the diners leave...All these reminded me of an AI like efficiency(not sure if they have a proto-type of Skynet somewhere in the background ;)
As I mentioned earlier, many of the dishes in the menu are not available yet. So ordered a Half Tandoori Combo with Khubooz along with a Chocolate Sundae.
The dishes were delivered in about 10mins after placing the order.. Super speed...
The Tandoori chicken was served with some salad and a serving of mayonnaise. The chicken was well-cooked, charred perfectly and the meat was soft and juicy. The Khubooz was as expected, nothing extraordinary.
Having finished a meaty meal, went for the Chocolate Sundae. This is one of their classic mashups and I had the same from their Palayam outlet and absolutely loved it. The same standard was present this time also.
Looking at their current efficiency, taste and service, I am certain they have nowhere to go but forward once they open full fledged. As for me, I will surely visit to taste some of their signature items like the Mushakkal, etc.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a tasty and economical meal in a neat and wide ambience, Zamzam is the place to be.
Note: They also have a Majlis under construction in the same building. Majlis is an Arabic term for a sitting room where you gather with friends or family around a central table sitting on a carpeted floor and enjoy some good food and drinks, revelling in the good times with everyone.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zam Zam Restaurant, and I must say—it was a truly delightful experience! The name "Zam Zam" itself has a spiritual touch, referring to the holy water in Islam, much like "Gangajal" in Hindu tradition, and the restaurant really lives up to that sense of purity and hospitality.
There’s a wide variety of food options on the menu—something for every taste. Honestly, if you're someone who loves delicious and tempting food, this place is worth every penny. Prices really become secondary once you take that first bite.
and don't worry about the cost too much—they offer a range from budget-friendly to premium dishes, and you can even ask about discounts for individuals or groups.
The food? Absolutely mouth-watering. Every dish I tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The portions were generous, and the presentation was inviting.
Facilities are also well taken care of. Clean washrooms are available for all guests, and if you're looking for a more comfortable setting, there's a fully air-conditioned dining area on the first floor that adds a touch of elegance to the whole experience.
In short, Zam Zam isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Highly recommended for food lovers!

Suggestions:-
While I appreciated the overall ambiance and food quality at the restaurant, I would like to highlight a few points regarding the service that could be improved to enhance the customer experience:
Courtesy with Menu Handling: During my visit, the staff member in a black dress took the menu from my table without asking and handed it to another table. It would be more courteous and professional to first ask the guest if they are finished with the menu and only proceed if the guest agrees.
Timing of Service Questions: Shortly after I began my meal, I was asked if I would like some more food. While I understand the intention to be attentive, it’s more appropriate to wait until the guest has finished their meal before asking if they would like to order more.
Improving small gestures of courtesy and timing in service can significantly enhance the dining experience and encourage...
