This small cosy air-conditioned family restaurant is located near Behala Arcadia on the Diamond Harbor Road, Kolkata 34. The restaurant derived its name from the popular movie theatre located just on the opposite side of the main road called Ashoka Cinema Hall. The restaurant prepares Chinese, Indian and Mughlai foods. The taste is good. Specially for the Indian foods. Trying Chinese cuisine here will be a dreadful idea actually. It's better not to take home delivery from this place. I actually ended up with a pack of steamed rice after ordering Fried rice from this very eatery. Though the replaced the packet once I complained about it, but I actually had to walk fifteen minutes from my place to pick up the actual preparation. This was something I never expected from this shop. They overcharge if you order soft-drinks. It's better to skip it if you are not comfortable with paying extra five rupees over the MRP. If you want to have a quality food to fill up your stomach yet pocket friendly, then Ashoka Restaurant is for you the place to be in and...

I also discovered that they had used rotten shrimp in the rice, which made it taste terrible. Moreover, instead of Bhetki Fish, they used Basa fish, which was disappointing. Additionally, the quantity of gravy was insufficient. Overall, my experience was very unsatisfactory, and I will not be purchasing from this restaurant again. I also do not recommend it to anyone. I wasted my money.Unfortunately, the new year started with such a...
