Golpark er Adda — Restaurant in Kolkata

Recently, I visited Golpark er Adda and it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Right from the drinks to the main course, everything was below average or downright terrible.

We started with Blue Lagoon and Mojito – both drinks tasted exactly the same, with an overpowering amount of mint and an excessive level of sweetness that completely ruined the refreshing feel they’re supposed to have.

Moving on to the appetizers, the Garlic Honey Chicken was average at best – not memorable in any way. But the real disappointment came with the main course.

We ordered Veg Pulao and Handi Mutton. The pulao was nothing more than greasy fried rice with an overload of ghee, no vegetables, no salt, and absolutely no flavor – completely tasteless. When we complained about the lack of salt, the staff casually told us to “add salt from our side,” which was highly unprofessional.

The Handi Mutton was an oily mess. It felt like it was cooked 2-3 days ago, with no flavor at all. The meat was undercooked, hard, and mostly bone – around 80% bone and only 20% meat. It was a total waste of money and appetite.

To sum it up, this place was a disaster. The food quality was pathetic, the service was unresponsive to genuine feedback, and I honestly regret spending my time and money here. If I could, I’d give it 0 stars, but since I must give at least one, it’s a very reluctant 1 star from me. I will never visit this outlet again and definitely do not recommend...

So here was an experience I want to share with you'll regarding this overhyped cafe. After entering this cafe-

Atmosphere and ambience- It is so small that one non claustrophobic person can feel irritated here. Then the AC was not working properly even the ambience was not glowy or bright. Sometimes few lights were getting on & off automaticaly. Chairs or tables are also not comfortable and clean.

Food- As you can see I have shared the food photos here. All the foods were very oily and we used tissue for soaking the oil. Even they are going to give you rajasthani chicken which is terrible with full of oil and one smelly chicken. Aside, the crockery which has been used for serving the rajasthani chicken it was leaking and the table was full of oil. No person has come to clean it even. We have been told that they served pulao but it was looking as if we were having fried rice and the quantity was very small. NO REGULAR WATER IS THERE TO SERVE (WHICH GOES AGAINST THE LAW)

Service- Not at all satisfied with the service which has been given to all the customers when we were present including us.

Overall- Not at all recommended to visit this cafe. If they improve the above mentioned things then only I would suggest as the owners behaviour was fair. Also all the food menu was overpriced.
