Goutam's Cafe — Restaurant in Kolkata

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the food and service during my recent visit. As a vegetarian, I had ordered a veg roll, but upon tasting it, I could clearly sense the smell of egg. This was extremely disturbing and unacceptable.I immediately informed the staff at the counter, only to be told dismissively that it was the smell of “dalda,” not egg. I handed back the roll, but instead of addressing my concern, the staff member argued without even making eye contact. The lack of basic courtesy and accountability was shocking.It was also alarming to observe that the same pan seemed to be used for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, showing complete disregard for dietary boundaries and food hygiene.My friend, who ordered separately, was not even provided with ice despite a request, and the overall taste of the food was subpar. The experience left us so dissatisfied that I felt the need to brush my teeth immediately upon reaching home.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Such service standards are disappointing and need urgent...

Firstly it was very difficult to find way to Gautam's cafe, it's way was just beside mani square from where all cars enter parking lot. It's in parking lot building which is behind mani square in ground floor. When i visited there i found that cafe was quite untidy as all the used plates ware left on the table just like that. I had ordered egg chowmin, cold coffee with icecream and cold drink. Price was fair. Egg chowmin quantity was good, two people can easily eat. Cold coffee's taste was good, but it was not presentable. Comming to colddrink, they give you in normal glass which filled to the top and was not covered from top. I loved their pasta , quality and quantity of the chicken is decent , also like their coffee, hot chocolate with icecream , cold chocolate with icecream , cold coffee , momo. This shop actually in the ground floor of mani square parking lot.. every time I visit this place is full .. one thing I would like to mention that behaviour of the staff is very good .. self service so one day from my end hot chocolate glass has been fallen.. so I ordered again.. but they didn't charge the second one actually that completely my fault .. so that was amazing and also surprised.. so this is my favourite place and also very reasonable..
