Today was my first visit to this Korean food joint, and I'm never gonna even think about going to this absurd place again. I'm an ardent Korean food lover and so I'm always in search of places that can satiate my hunger for various Korean dishes. And so I decided to visit Korean street at Lord's more as I've never been to that place before. First of all, the place is too cringed and there's no space at all to even stand there. Secondly, the food quality as well as quantity, were not at par with the price at all (that was quite on the high side tbh). And also these people have a very subtle way of conning you. So I ordered two different types of chicken dish of regular size that comes with 6 pieces, but both boneless (the price is higher than the dish with bone one). But they had served me with bone pieces in both of them, mixed with 1-2 boneless pieces only. Now when I brought this to their attention, the so called lady on the front counter, who's managing all the order taking and everything, she totally ignored it and went about talking to other people and her good for nothing staffs who were continuously messing up on almost every other order. Now you're paying more for boneless pieces, but you're getting served chicken pieces with bone and less meat on the price of boneless one. And they're not even bothering to give you an explanation, let alone apologise or rectify their mistake, when you're informing them about such a mishap. What sort of service is this? Is this a new age scamming agenda that they have come up with? I'd really urge people not to get hyped by the so called reels and absolutely avoid this place at all cost. Till now, one of the worst place to have Korean food, rather any...
Read moreKorean Street in Kolkata is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Korean cuisine. I recently tried out their mouthwatering dishes, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their cheesiest corn dogs. These delectable treats came in three variations. The combination of crispy outer coating and gooey cheese inside was simply amazing. The Tantanmen Ramen was another standout dish. It had the perfect balance of spiciness and richness. The flavors were bold and satisfying. For starters, I opted for the Chicken Buffalo Wings and Dak gangjeong. The wings were perfectly seasoned and had a delicious tangy kick. The Dak gangjeong, a Korean-style crispy chicken dish, was spicy just as it should be, and the flavors were so appetizing. The overall dining experience at Korean Street was good. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, ensuring there is something for everyone. If you're a fan of Korean cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, I highly recommend visiting Korean Street. The corn dogs, Chicken Buffalo Wings, Dak gangjeong, and Tantanmen Ramen are absolute must-tries. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and...
Read moreThis was my first exposure to a Korean Food Joint. And the "Korean Street" is at a good place, walking distance from Lords More.
We've Had : Bibimap + Extra Egg fry, cheese Corn Dog
Pros: The Cafe is a Cozy spot, it's very colorful. The overall vibe is nice. (a Small sitting place outside, That may be full at peak hours, but we have no problem with that) Good Food at pocket friendly prices. An option for different tastes, The Bibimap is basically sticky rice with vegetables along with a poached egg on top. It was pretty good with the melted egg yolk along with the sticky rice. And definitely a very very healthy option. The cheese corn dog was very hot, just fried. The taste was okayish.
Cons: At peak hour there will be a good amount of waiting time. The cheese corn dog could have been more cheesy, to be honest, I won't personally choose again the cheese corn dog, it was just like any other fries (though, pretty hyped, in social media)
My verdict : you can definitely have a first try at Korean food here, if it suits you, Korean Street is a come-again-option for you. Doesn't excite ME much, so if I visit again, I may try some...
