Millie's Kasba — Restaurant in Kolkata

It is my younger brother's #birthday today - hence, ek celebration toh banta hain..😍🎂

Off late, I have become allergic to branded bakeries (not talking about home bakers or home bakeries bcz quite a few of them are exceptional and they are my go to bakers) in Kolkata bcz there aren't any of international standards (except maybe Patisserie by Franziska bcz rest are all substandard) unlike cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai or Hyderabad unfortunately where there are plenty of options to choose from..

However, I was eyeing Millies Kolkata for quite some time since they had set foot in Kolkata a couple of months before lockdown - currently, they are operating from thier #Saltlake outlet (only delivery/takeaway) only since the other two - #CityCentre and #QuestMall are still closed.. This is a reputed international brand which started off in #London way back in 1985 and set foot in India last year itself - currently present in quite a few Indian cities along with many European and Middle Eastern countries..

Being the #chocoholic that I am - I chose #BelgianMilkChocolate coverture cake - it was unadulterated #chocogasm to the last bite.. ❤️

Also tried one of thier unique creation - #DoubleChocolateGiantCookie - the largest cookie that I have encountered till date - looks rugged from outside but it's gooey and soft from inside - every bite melts in your tastebuds leaving you with an intense chocolate after taste.. ❤️

Ofcourse, how could I miss out on #macaroons - tried #Strawberry, #WhiteChocolate, #Coffee and #Caramel - absolutely soft and delicious to the tee.. ❤️

They claim to make #neapolitanpizzas and #thickshakes as well - will try those for sure during my next visit..

Pricing is certainly on the higher end of the spectrum but it's absolutely worthwhile considering the quality of the products they are selling - most raw materials are being imported from #UnitedKingdom and that's evident from the major difference in taste.. The best part what I liked was the #freshness of thier #products - they baked all the above products right from scratch for me within barely an hour..

SUGAR RUSH ALERT!!! ( Also the NEWEST place in town). Millie's is a UK based confectionery brand that has recently opened its branches in various parts of India. It's opened up in Quest Mall, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Kolkata. It's in the Basement (B2). Find it beside the Spencers. Kolkata needs to embrace this new place.

All the cakes are made of the finest quality imported chocolates. The bakery uses 100% Butter and no margarine in their products. The shakes are imported . They use real fruits ( eg- strawberry, blueberry) and no artificial flavours. There is no chemical products used . Presentation is really good. They maintain strict hygiene. •CUPCAKES-

We had a very favorable view of millies kolkata having ordered our birthday cake before however we went ahead with ordering our anniversary two tier cake through millies which was a complete disaster

Not only did they mess up with the buttercream cover around the cakes but also the design was not made as per order. The entire decor was poor and it lead to a total faceless for us infront of our guests.. it was a customised cake but none of our demands were met .. what we got was an average at best cake with no regards for customer satisfaction The only thing that matters to them is the money as it seems they said the taste will be awesome which was very very poor
