Review from bride(from Abu Dhabi) for anyone looking to host any wedding event. I recently hosted my engagement party of about 60+ people. All of the discussions were done online. Positives: -Great support from Ms. Ananya to put together the event, she's very polite, accommodating and absolutely understands client requirement. She was available at all times both online and on call whenever I needed to have any discussion. -Service staff was excellent, especially Mr. Joy made us feel so comfortable and took care of our guests. -Food was great, starters was excellent - only chicken biryani was very dry but the rest of the food compensated. We took an alcohol package per plate and it accommodated international brands as per our requirements. -Ambience is excellent and totally worth the hype with the pool deck with the lighting is magical.
Negatives- -On the day of the event, they had construction work at the gate of the building - with no prior notice to us - not only was it unpleasant entry for guests and bride and groom but also posed health and safety issue more importantly incase of any accidents falling into construction site with no safety measures taken. -They provide decorator vendor from their end or outside vendor is allowed at an added cost to your contract However their own decorators are expensive for the work they provide. The designs provided were Google images with their own logo however considering the research I had put in, I requested to see their own work done within Ozora and the decorations were scanty and hugely overpriced. They charge for conveyance for their materials and transportation which I don't think should be billed to the customer - finally I had to drop out of having any decorations for the event as they are unnaturally over priced for some stands and flowers. The venue ambience covers up for the decorations so I just settled for that. -Resident DJ was below average. I tried to discuss with the DJ prior about our requirements regarding music - he straight away asked me to give him the tracks I wanted played instead of asking me what the event will be like, what background my guests were from and what cultures are me and my husband from to accomodate music from all around - in hindsight I should have done that because the music played was old and average with unnecessary breaks in between. The only reason I am adding this as a point is because it is not complimentary in their package - It was a paid service. When I tried to have the discussions i was met with reactions to not worry and they have the best DJ. *You can bring your own DJ by paying an added cost. -Payment was a huge huge hassle. We had made an advance payment as requested by the team which confirms my booking. Two days prior to the event we were contacted to complete the remaining full payment prior to the event which I didn't feel was right, in any case I couldn't as I had already begun my functions. However I did send my confirmation to the team that full payment would be done on day of event of course. My husband and family members were repeatedly harassed during our engagement party in view of guests to complete payment during the event which was so unprofessional as I would understand we are in their premises so where would we go without clearing their bill? But I had to intervene and create a scene with the staff that my husband was being dragged during crucial moments of the party to complete payments ( which he ended up doing anyway) but this bit was not only embarrassing but it left a complete bitter experience as I was not expecting to be treated like runaway guest who would be able to leave their premises without completing all due payments. So I would urge the management to look into not harassing your guests in the middle of the event.
Overall, If you are choosing Ozora your money's worth would be the ambience of the venue and the food. Hospitality expectations may be received with any luck...

Well, if a choice can be given between awesome foods, and a breathtaking view, what are you going to choose?? If your answer is “BOTH”, then I must admit, you are at the perfect post. With Valentine’s Day just round the corner, I am going to share my experience of dining at (Probably) the Second Highest Rooftop Restaurant / Sky Lounge of Kolkata. Situated at 20th Floor, OZORA sits right behind the 31 32 (at 32nd Floor) in terms of height. But after being at both (And a few other Lounges in that respect), nothing can beat Ozora in terms of Value for Money and Quality of Food combined along with the flabbergasting view of entire Kolkata Skylines. The strategic location at Acropolis Mall, East Kolkata Township allows the guests to get a view of all the 4 directions – East towards Anandapur, North towards Science City, West towards Esplanade and South towards Kalikapur.
Ozora is divided into two sections (Like many other Lounges), the Indoors and Rooftop. To Rooftop can be accessed after paying a Non- Refundable Cover Charges of 1000 INR Per Person, which would be adjusted later with the Dining Bill. Although the charges of liquor and cigarettes were exorbitant (Which we didn’t opt for), but the charges for food were very reasonable.
The foods that we opted were:
Leaving aside the Pizza Experts (Like Dominos, Pizza Hut or my favorite Ovenstory Pizza), the Pizza was one of the best Pizza I ever had in Kolkata to be honest. The crust was thin and crunchy with a bit of cheese and a lot of topping, and came in medium size (With 8 slices). The Pancetta Avvolto was a bit different from the normal Bacon wrapped prawns that we generally have. The Prawns were actually sitting on top of the bacon, and the entire thing was seasoned with Mayo and small pieces of Pineapple. The Bacons were smoked and crispy. Not the best I had, but not bad either. The Beer Battered Fish was really good, and was served with Fries and Tartar Sauce. The coating was crunchy, and the fillet within was as soft as butter, and had a hint of beer flavour. The Burnt Coriander Chicken Noodles was also good. The quantity was good enough for two, and had a very good portion of chicken. Also the noodles had a smoky flavour.
Overall, the Bill was 3000 for 2, and was an absolute value for money. I was strongly suggest this place for couples, as well as group of friends who wanna spend some quality time together over food, music and...
