Nick N Nack — Restaurant in Kolkata

I am writing to share my recent experience at your store, Nick N Nack, which I believe requires your attention.

I had sent someone to purchase two pieces of butter from your store and instructed them to request a stamped receipt for the purchase. Unfortunately, the receipt provided was not stamped. When I followed up with the staff member at the store regarding this, I was informed—quite abruptly—that stamping receipts is "not allowed." Moreover, the individual’s tone and manner were unprofessional and discourteous. I was even told that if I insist on getting receipts stamped, I should not return to the store by pointing out the fingers.

As a customer, I believe it is both standard and necessary to receive a proper bill or receipt for a transaction. Additionally, I was quite surprised and disappointed by the rude and dismissive behavior of the staff member involved.

If you are the owner or in charge of the store, I would kindly urge you to look into this matter. The attitude and approach of this employee may negatively impact your business and customer relationships. It’s a mini supermarket that sells some snacks. They usually have grocery and ingredients for Asian/ Italian/ Mexican/ Lebanese foods that normal stores won’t have. Good place for that. Food here is liked by kids and college goers a lot - quite cheesy and saucy. Decent place to go to every now and then for veg fast food suited to Indian taste buds. The food quality is good and the place is exorbitantly priced but the main turnoff for this place is the attitude of the owner and the staff towards paying customers. They treat you like they are serving you for free, forgetting the fact that they are charging a bomb. This goes on to show that no matter how good the food is, the hubris of rude staff brings the whole place.
