35 BAR & LOUNGE — Local services in Kolkata

Went with my office collegues group of 3 for a Saturday lunch after office. Always wanted to spend some time after hectic office work and to sit for some drink and starters.

◾Location- At paddmapukur bus stop on the minto park to deshapriya park corridor. 10 mins in auto from deshapriya park. 10 mins in bus from minto park crossing.

◾Ambience- small entrance typical pub like environment by has a luxury high class felling in it. The passage (staircase) to the bar had red fluorescent light which gives a nice bar feeling. Inside we we're seated in the front table. Ground floor is Pepper Chino and ground floor is 35 Bar & lounge. Have a sitting capacity of around 40 people. Very well decorated with low lights. Perfect for a nice evening Adda.

◾Service- Extremely poor infact worst. The restaurant is loosing all the points(ratings) due to inefficient, imcopetent staffs. He had very poor vocabulary and unable to properly speak about the dishes. There are 2 captions who take care of the tables, one male and another female. We were attended by a Male captain who forced me to delete some photos of the inside ambience and said other customers were complaining. Since we had already given our order we could not leave the restaurant else would have done so. Our table no was 43 Bill No BL16354 DT 07.12.19 and we went at 5.30 when the restaurant was vacant and only 2 people were at the bar counter. I initially asked the Male captain that I want to take a video/photo of the ambience and he said yes. But after some time he came and took my mobile and asked me to show my mobile gallery and to delete some photos and videos. I asked him to talk with the manager and then he said that the manager won't talk and asked me to delete the photos. I got very amused and embarresed in front of my friend but did wat the caption said.

◾ Hospitality- Very slow service as mentioned earlier . Foods were delivered very late and we had to call numerous times for new orders. In fact what I found that there is shortage of staffs and that's y this was happening.

◾Food- Staters-

Beer Battered Fish- Signature item contained 6 pieces and was the pick of all the staters and is a must try. Highly recommended.

Lemon Grass Fish - Tasted good and has a Grass like smell/flavour when we ate it. Not recommended.

Dynamite Chicken- The captain suggested us to have it but when we ate it it was full of salt. After having 2 pieces we told him about the taste problem. After some time the women caption came and served us with a fresh plate of the dish. Now it was not salty but it was very hot and full of green chillies. Somehow the chef made a mess of it and eventually the palate contained only chillies photos attached full waste of money. Not recommended at all.

Chicken Malai Kabab - contained 6 pieces with malai/cheese over it. Taste very good. Highly Recommended.

Crispy Lamb with sweet & chilli sauce- Taste very good and really liked it quantity sufficient. Recommended.

Mutton Sheek Kebab- Contained 6 pieces of Solid mutton keema pieces. But the item was dry and we didn't like it. We wanted to order that Gawlati Kebab but the captain suggested us Sheek Kebab-. Not recommended.

◾Drinks -

Long Ice land Ice Tea - Highly recommended.

Whisky Sour- Recommended

Snake Bite- Not recommended infact don't try their mocktails, cocktails are still better.

◾Food Main Course

Grilled Chicken Steak with Barbq sauce.- Good taste. Recommended

Roas Rosemary Chicken- Served with rice gravy chicken and green vegetables. The dish was really tasty but the green vegetables was very bad. Recommended.

◾Value for money- Item overpriced by 2 times. Portion less. And since the service is slow there is delay in serving the food to the table there is very little VALUE u get for the MONEY.

◾ VERDICT- Not recommended due to overpriced, moderate servive, not so tasty food. However the mocktails we're good and probably hookah would be good. Recommended only for cocktails few starters and hookah. Ambience 4/5 Food 3/5 Service...

35 Bar & Lounge is becoming one of the funkiest yet dignified place to go for casual dine in. This place is located at the basement of Hotel Samilton, near Jadu Babur Bazar, Sarat Bose Road (5 Minutes walking distance from Netaji Bhawan Metro).

The first thing which attracts about 35 Bar & Lounge is the groovy ambience and the beautiful yet funky décor. The sitting area is quite broad with a well-furnished House Bar and Live DJ.

Among these dishes, I have to recommend-

⭐ Chicken Banjara Kebab ⭐

The kebabs were soft, juicy and spicy enough to make you go crazy over it.

⭐ Chicken Patiwala with Herb Rice/Butter Naan ⭐

Chicken Patiala is actually minced chicken wrapped with fried eggs. The gravy is quite rich and flavourful and went perfectly with the Butter Naan. You can also have it with rice, I took Herb Rice with the gravy and it tasted delicious too.

All of these mocktails were super refreshing. My favourite was 'We love 35'

The caramel custard ended the evening on a sweet note. It was a lovely experience here. Thank you 35 Bar & Lounge for the invitation and the...

Starting from the starters corn cheese triangle are so crispy, chicken banzara kebab and chicken peprika both have different taste and are really delicious...in main course veg . dewani handi ,chicken patiala, veg pulao are really good..the caramel custard just melted in the mouth..all of taste of the food and presentation are really beautiful..and they maintain all the Safety protocols all over a very good...
