INOX Forum Mall, Elgin Road, Kolkata — Local services in Kolkata

Regarding inox, forum mall, Kolkata, I went to watch notebook in 12:00 pm show. The ticket counter people on duty, never greeted properly and were not very welcoming. They are lousy and in not good mood. I ordered for salted popcorn biggest tub during interval. On tasting I found they got cheese popcorn. On shouting and and calling back the boy he replaced it. As I started eating I found it not fresh and hot. After eating for some more time and as the movie restarts again, the popcorns were stinking and I had to throw them. I also ordered for a coffee, the boy convinced me that hazel nut flavour would be good in the coffee, to which I agreed. It was also served at a very low temperature, after two sips they were cold. As I purchased from my seat, to not have to pay a ten rupees, the boy wanted to sell a cookie, which again I tasted in another inox and tasted horrible.

What irked me was today I got an apology call and the man on the phone was not so polite and kept telling me that it is ‘certainly not possible ‘... then again ‘usually not happens, don’t know how ‘, I got irritated and informed him that first they ask feedback and then give an ‘apology ‘ call to prove otherwise.

South city mall inox, Kolkata, where I usually visit and had to go to forum as there were no show timings if the film in the morning is far more superior in quality...

One of the oldest serving shopping malls in Kolkata.. its from my childhood times and has developed a lot in recent times..

Location: Elgin Road approachable from Rabindra Sadan metro railway station which is the nearest to it... located into the inner areas of elgin road but it's one of the posh areas of Kolkata with many high brands and entities available in and around the location..

Facilities: its a 5 story building with Facilities of shopping, movie hall as well as food court available all inside the same place.

The movie hall is available at 5th floor with the food court as well.. there are several brands available inside the mall from where you can do shopping as well as watch movies.

Not so large a mall although but quite large enough as per the need.. the food court is little small when you compare it with other malls of Kolkata..

They have parking Facilities as well underground with elevator and washroom facilities available as well.. washroom facilities are available at 4th and 5th floor.

Overall a good place to hangout with atleast better to say to chill down if you are not comfortable in scorching...

I was unfortunate to buy tickets for an Imax experience in Kolkata. Regret hit me as soon as i entered the theatre. Having seen countless movies at Imax Bangalore, I was shocked to see the audacity of these guys. Not only is the screen smaller than a regular Imax screen, it is smaller than an avg theater screen. To add to my woes the aspect ratio was 1:89 compared to imax's ration of 2:20. As a result the rectangular picture felt even smaller as it failed to fill the small square screen. To top it off, the theater is equipped with Imax's 6 channel speakers instead of the DOLBY ATMOS that Imax theater goers are used to. In all ways this Imax is rigtly dubbed LIEmax by some reviewers of the city. I will never ever suggest anyone to watch a movie in this theater. Id rather you travel to another city which has a better Imax or wait for the Bluray with a good pair of headphones. Watching a movie in Kolkata Imax is an insult to the movie we watch there and to the filmmakers who put in the amount of effort to deliver an experience to us that these people rob us of. I have two words to end my review of Kolkata's Imax...
