Review: August 1 Changing from 5 to 4 stars. Ordered biryani 6 times in the last month. Today got sub standard mutton piece. It was stiff, undercooked and a bit on the smelly side. Could be that the mutton supplier gave poor quality, but they definitely know what they are cooking. Ordered biryani like 20+ times in the past 4 months. Today's meat was really sketchy. Taste wise, no complaints.
Review: June 6 Changing review from 3 to 5 stars. After the initial review, I kept ordering their mutton biryani on a regular basis. They have never disappointed. Biryani is just too good. Good taste, flavour, mutton portion good, and aaloo was cooked very well. Order biryani without any worry.
Review: April 8 Swiggy delivery order. Regarding mutton kassa, 4 piece: Very pathetic portion size. In total, not even 100gms of mutton. Hardly 20gm mutton pieces. That too with bones. And had like 100gms of oil which I drained. Forgot to take pictures. Taste wise good. Biryani was good. Would recommend it. Naan just like I would expect. I would suggest, stay away from mutton dishes. When you're spending 260+gst for a 4 piece mutton dish, you expect a decent size. Not 20gm pieces. This is becoming the new norm of most eateries. Everywhere they mention pieces, nobody...
Read moreThought of trying their biryani since long. Finally, had the chance of trying it yesterday. As I was coming home from Kolkata, I bought a special mutton biryani priced 370 and a chicken biryani priced 190, both of them are pretty reasonable considering their brand value . Now coming to the test or taste, I may say, I reached home yesterday around 11 pm. As I was having or going to have my dinner around 11/30 , I was hesitant to try a biryani at that hour of the day since most biryani gave a bloating and uneasiness. But to my sheer surprise, none of these are true to Nusrat s. Even my septuagenerian mother are and digested that comfortably. People who love old Kolkata styled biryani will love them, I can assure you. The long grained basmati ( probably they use xxxl variant of basmati) , wonderful whole biryani spices and a tender chicken ( between 1 and 1.5 kg as per my understanding) are adding to the wonderful aromas already infused in the biryani. They proved that in matters of taste, minimum is maximum. Continue the good work, Shakib Bhai. P. S. - Only deterrent is the mutton piece which is too full of fat and it is certainly not my liking. I forgot to...
