Sanghai — Restaurant in Kolkata

If there any negative rating is available plz share I’ll put it for the service part of the outlet worker…they are most inefficient worker I’ve ever ever seen in my all restaurant visit…

I’ve visited 5 times till now for dine in and take away…each and every time they disappoint me with their footpath level service… every times they done horrible mistakes while serve my orders!! Always there was a change of dish I’ve ordered!!

Even today the level of patience gone beyond…I’ve orders chilli fish via Swiggy delivery time shows for 55 mints…after crossing 1.30 hrs and talked with delivery boy that restaurant authority are not giving the orders I physically came to the restaurant to enquire and come to know that all dishes of chilli fish has been sold out and it’s 11.20 at night..

At the time of taking orders why they r not mentioning or calling us that they don’t have the food I’ve ordered? Not even after 1.5 hour..

As I’ve already mentioned above about such bitter experience of the service part from this restaurant outlet…they have served me chilli chicken instead of my order was for chilli fish…and surprisingly not a single guy said us a sorry!!!! How careless they are about the customer as they serve free foods!! Later on another visit they also served me a normal temperature fresh lime soda(sweet) without adding sweet flavour while they had taken order for fresh lime soda sweet!!! After complaining they took away the glass and add some inadequate sweet and served but they not forget to charge adequate money for all of this mentioned incidents!!!

My sincere concern to the restaurant authority plz shuffle the stuff at the earliest for at least to stop this footpath level service in a well maintained...

Don't confuse them with the brand Shanghai - The Taste of China Town, they're Sanghai - Pure Chinese Food. Not sure how pure but they definitely serve better food than Shanghai.

This place is bit hard to find, truly a hidden gem. Just remember the lane beside Dreamland Nursing Home. Small AC dining area, simple and cosy ambiance.

Mixed Gravy Chow @ Rs.231 (4.5/5) It's their specialty and best seller. I must say the portion served was huge and easily sharable by two. Although there was very less vegetables and meat still somehow, they made it very delicious. The gravy tasted one of its kind that I haven't found at any other Chinese restaurant.

Sanghai Chicken Dry @ Rs.257 (3.5/5) Fried chicken pieces had a very thin coating, soft and well-cooked tossed with capsicum and onions just like every other Chinese dry item. Unlike dry chili chicken this didn't have the punch of dark soya sauce, rather it tasted bit sweet.

A very nice place for chinese food. The place is located in the lanes of North Kolkata and can be very hard to find. But the place is surely a treat to the chinese food lovers. The place is a bit tiny one and the space is very less. The ambience is not so good also. But they compensate that with great food. Here it's all about good Chinese food. The chowmeins and fried rice are really good and large in portion. The American and Chinese chopsweys are really good and the chicken dishes are very good.
