Pathetic and very bad experience. We had planned our son's birthday party there and regretted it deeply. The pictures uploaded are from the time it was started. Now it is all in ruins. There are cobwebs, glasses are broken, paint has peeled down, lights are missing from false ceiling. Even no AC. When we were finalising the venue, the caretaker promised us to get AC installed 2 days before the program. And he himself arranged for the decorator also. Our program was fixed for 6 pm however heavy rain started from 5 pm due to which we got delayed and reached at 7 pm. But to our surprise the AC was being fixed and there was absolutely no decoration in place plus all the staff was just sitting. When asked why the decorations are not put in place they said it is raining. Well it was raining for outside but what about the hall. Surely it was not raining inside the hall. When we asked why AC was being fixed now they replied in very angry tone that how can they work on electricity in rains. Mind you there was no raining day before neither 2 days before and that day also, the rain started 2 hours back then what were they doing since two days. To top it they could not fix it and started decoration after we insisted that our guests are arriving. So they put some balloons in the name of balloons and that's it. That was not even close to what was finalised and the decorator left without informing. After another hour there was power cut and what's great , there was no power backup. For full 2hours we were sitting in dark and they did not arrange for any power backup. And when we asked them to arrange some generator, they started shouting in front of our guests. Only the food was good. Which was a saver for us. Otherwise our whole evening was badly ruined and we felt insulted and regretted celebrating there. We could have arranged better at home. At the time of payment , rather than feeling sorry they were adamant and started saying that whT is our fault if it was raining. True. But there fault was rude staff, disrespect, no arrangement at all and attitude. Plus they were not even sorry for our loss. And demanded we pay for full. Honest request don't ever go there. Let them learn that people need service for the money they are paying. Due to light cut we could not...

Worst service and food quality , I had family and friends gathering here recently .won’t suggest any one to spent their hard earn money here . Rather opt for alternative option. We attended a birthday party here recently, and it was honestly one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. The place looks nothing like the pictures online — it’s completely run-down now. There were cobwebs everywhere, broken glass, peeled-off paint, missing lights, and, surprisingly, no working AC at all.

The hosts had clearly been promised that the AC would be installed before the event, but when we arrived (around 7 pm, after it had rained for a while), the technicians were still fixing it! The decorations weren’t even started, and the staff were just sitting around doing nothing. When people asked why, they rudely replied that it was raining — but the decorations were for the indoor hall, not outdoors!

It was embarrassing to see the hosts, who had put in so much effort, have to beg the staff to at least start setting up something. In the end, the decoration was just a few random balloons, completely different from what was promised. The decorator left halfway without even informing anyone.

To make things worse, there was a power cut soon after, and there was no backup available. We all sat in the dark for almost two hours. Even when the hosts requested a generator, the staff started arguing and raising their voices in front of everyone.

The only saving grace was the food — it was actually quite good. But everything else was a disaster. We felt bad for the family hosting the birthday; they really deserved better treatment after paying for the venue.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The management needs to learn what hospitality and basic service mean before...

Pathetic Service at 9 Massala – Never Book This Place or Risk Ruining Your Special Day

We recently hosted a birthday celebration at 9 Massala, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. The experience was extremely unprofessional and far below even basic standards of hospitality. Here's why I strongly advise you not to book this venue:

Unhygienic Premises – The rooftop area was filthy, covered with garbage and spider webs. Cleanliness was clearly not a priority.

No Functioning AC – Even after confirming multiple times that air-conditioning would be available, there was none on the day of the event.

No Power Backup – There was a complete power outage during the entire celebration, and the venue had no backup arrangement.

Rude Staff – The staff was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful when approached with genuine concerns.

No Value for Commitments – Despite promises, the hall was not cleaned or decorated before the event. We had to repeatedly request basic arrangements.

DJ Services Failed – The DJ couldn’t operate his equipment, and no support was provided. Music was a disaster.

Unprofessional Food Service – The cooks were not in uniform and lacked basic hygiene standards.

Poor Hygiene by Staff – Several staff members were chewing gutka and khaini, and were preparing food (like dosa) with the same hands they used to wipe sweat. Absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable.

Dirty Furnishings – Chair covers were filthy and stained. The entire ambiance looked neglected.

Asking for Tips After Ruining the Event – After delivering such terrible service, the staff had the audacity to ask for tips.
